As a newbie I would prefer to keep a regular election schedule. There is a lot for new members to the RA to learn, so keeping elections regular could help to reduce potential confusion. I suppose a dedicated election official of some sort might be able to resolve that problem for us newbies...

It's very good to see they've made this step, and I can understand that they've wanted to take things slowly. I'm guessing that some members of the BSA are worried about some people getting all worried about gay leaders and sexual abuse of boy scouts. I highly doubt that would be a serious issue...
