[SC - Up Next] Limiting AI in Art and Diplomacy

I have noticed on the drafting thread and in my TGs, people seem to have this idea that supporting this resolution means opposing any and all use of AI, and that isn’t the case. Personal use and assistive tools are not what is at issue here. This declaration is concerned with a very specific...

    [DRAFT] Criminal Recategorization Act

Gross misconduct is trying to do too much. My approach here is to aim for more specific crimes that can be applied to best fit situations. Gross misconduct is a blunt instrument and a catch all and as a result, it has to have the widest array of possible punishments to cover all scenarios, but...

    Candidacy for Speaker - Meteturan

He’s asking you that because those are types of days in our law, in the cultural section. He wanted to know if you were aware of that and what impact they might have on your job as Speaker. You should refresh yourself on that concept and that may reveal why he felt this was relevant to the job...

    [DRAFT] Criminal Recategorization Act

It wouldn't replicate the problem because it's a minor crime with reduced punishment. We expanded the menu, so to speak, so that a more specific and appropriate crime can be utilized. I expect forswearing would be most useful as a crime to charge non-government officials with, because government...

    Minor Error Correction Amendment

I’m not sure I feel the disclaimer is necessary but I know better than to leave a potential stumbling point unaddressed. It’s a bit clunky for my liking but having failed to wordsmith it into something that feels better, I must conclude it gets the job done and should accomplish the aim without...

    [DRAFT] Criminal Recategorization Act

The list naming every impacted region is the only place in our law that chronicles them, otherwise you have to rely on sifting through our treaties. I agree that you could simply specify all allies or enemies, but I think there’s value in having the list.

    [DRAFT] Criminal Recategorization Act

I believe the list being elsewhere in the code is not a big deal. The law is clear, ignorance of the law is typically not an excuse. The scenario you outlined for intrusion would constitute intentional acts. Your understanding of ow this works is in fact how it works. As I said before, I can...

[R4R] Regarding the Speaker's Decision to Restore Fregerson's Citizenship

    Executive Office of the Delegate

@Halsoni Mr. Delegate, when Tlomz vacated office last week, he had been occupying three positions, one of which he has since resumed. The other two were security councillor and court examiner. [GA - Passed] Repeal: “Restrictions on Child Labor”

I just want to say I’m glad Cretox found a way to reinvent the mold on GA proposals and that I could be a big part in executing that alternative vision. It’s a shame this innovation came so late in the lifetime of the General Assembly but it’s nice to see it pioneered ahead of a big time of...

    [DRAFT] Criminal Recategorization Act

No. I think this requires something similar to the third clause in espionage, which would specify gathering the info from The North Pacific. It was intended to be an internal thing, not have foreign policy implications. Good catch.

    [DRAFT] Criminal Recategorization Act

It is. No consideration given to the words "as appropriate" though I guess. Whatever, it's not worth the hassle, I have amended the draft to specify two clauses.

    [DRAFT] Criminal Recategorization Act

Walk me through the argument for precision. How would it be appropriate for the Speaker to update the preceding clause in any other way than what is intended? I can easily add the word “two” but I’m not seeing the argument here.
