I agree that we need a serious candidate. And as I said before, honesty is refreshing.
But a potential Delegate needs to earn the respect of the region, and to give the region respect in return.
Ermarian's position as Delegate is under attack because his inactivity has lost the confidence of...
It's not unfair to exclude non-WA nations.
How many non-WA puppets does any single player have in the region ? One...Two...fifty ? There are some players with dozens of puppets out there. I won't support the risk of a single player stacking the election with non-WA puppets voting.
I have found there to be 25 current RA members. I reach this conclusion by acknowledging the list provided by Speaker Dalimbar on September 1st as being lawfully accurate.
May I remind those who are or may be running for office, that TNP Law 26, Section One states:
The refered to...

The problem with that is keeping track of nations moving in and out of the region, to respect the 'residents' rights vs. those moving into the region simply to effect the vote.
Aye, and I have a endo scanner as well, so it's easily accomplished.
That provides the eligibility, then the method of accounting votes will need to be established.
The other issue that would arrise from this system, is the need for active folks to send telegrams to all the WA nations to...
My thanks to The Palindromic Land, and Felasia, who have pm'd their WA nation status. Both applications are accepted. Welcome to the Regional Assembly !
Siradetes, your application is currently being reviewed. I will respond to it as soon as I recieve the information that I've requested from...

This week, Equilism must once again say goodbye to a long-time player and a friend of the region. Kandarin of the Rejected Realms has announced his retirement...
I think that would be an administrative nightmare.
I can see that it would be fairly easy to provide an electoral method to all WA nations in the region. A census would need to establish eligable WA's at the start of voting, to prevent new WA's from moving into the region to vote during the...
There is a minor technical issue with your application.
Your forum username is John Ashcroft Land not JAL. :P I ask you to edit your post accordingly.
With that correction, your application is accepted. Welcome to the TNP Regional Assembly !
Please accept the apologies of Speaker Dalimbar for the delay in attending to your applications. Circumstances beyond the Speaker's control prevented the Speaker from addressing these sooner.
To show good faith to the Regional Assembly in accepting the appointment of the Speaker as his...

I, Westwind, as the leader of The North Pacific nation of Pirates Lair, pledge loyalty to the Constitution, Bill of Rights and Laws of The North Pacific Region, and to act as a responsible member of its society. I understand that if my Nation leaves The...
*take a deep breath*
With the understanding that my time is limited this week and next, and I will be unavailable Friday 1 October through Sunday the 3rd.....I will attempt to be of assistance and accept the appointment as Deputy Speaker.
That being the case, I will review the pending RA...
At the moment, it seems to me that it may be more important just to get something established through elections if possible. Making progress on this may take quite some time.
I'd generally say though, that Elu's outline is fine. Though I don't see cause for a Judiciary until there's enough...
I agree Uni, TNP is badly in need of leadership and opportunity.
I might also add, grist for the mill, that Judicial elections are also due to start on October 1st. This also requires the delegate to appoint an Election Commisioner(s).
If Limi's observations are correct, we essentially have...
All feeders are oligarchys. The 100's don't visit the delegate recognized forum, so they don't get any better representation.
Not unusual to criticize such a system, but there is never a real democratic system in feeders. You just have to hope for a responsible delegate, and an active forum...
Nominations were opened, and should have been closed some time ago. I suppose until Erm says otherwise, nominations are still open.
Although Speaker Dalimbar beleives it's important to get the constitutionally mandated election moving.
