[GA - Failed] Against Racial Segregation

I just want to highlight that our allies in Europeia are having the exact same debate over this resolution. If one of our allies who we coordinated with to stack against this resolution also did so without support from their citizenry, it further brings into question why the supposed foreign...

Confirmation of Ambis to the Election Commission

Well, I'm glad that you accept that your earlier response crossed a line. I set out my position at the beginning and most of my follow up posts were clarifications in response to other posts, in which I did relitigate some of my points, so I suppose I see how it might seem like I was trying to...

Confirmation of Ambis to the Election Commission

Let the record reflect that you have chosen to launch a full on personal attack on my character in response to my reasonable criticisms on why someone with zero activity in this region was nominated for a position of responsibility, and why you believe that speed in responding to pings is the...

Confirmation of Ambis to the Election Commission

I have cited the nominee's post counts because frankly there is nothing else to cite. The nominee has not done anything in this region at all. And bringing up NES as a comparison is not an argument in Ambis' favour, as NES has much higher counts on all these metrics, and a vastly different prior...

    Security Council Adjustment Act

The endorsment count requirement is already tied to the "Serving Delegate", i.e. the elected Delegate, but you're right it probably makes more sense to tie it to the in-game Delegate to keep the count stable during transitions. It's been at 50% for a long time, and I don't know if it needs...

Confirmation of Ambis to the Election Commission

As I said earlier, I don't think there's really an explanation that could make up for a nonexistent record in the region. I mean, your new post alone is more words than all of your previous activity in TNP combined, that's how little your record was. And honestly, nothing in your post really...

Confirmation of Ambis to the Election Commission

I don’t disagree with this sentiment. Even for me when I was recently considering whether there’s a few things I could get more involved in, I felt there were very few options. But this is mostly for a different conversation. However, on the subject of this nomination specifically, I consider...

Confirmation of Ambis to the Election Commission

Well then what I will say is this: You posted these nominations 24 hours after you first pinged citizens to apply. Perhaps you could have given it a little more time.

Candidacy Declarations: January 2026 Special Vice Delegate Election

Nominations are an informal process so there's no rules around it at all. A candidate doesn't need any nominations to run, and seconding a candidate also doesn't mean anything in practice.

    Security Council Adjustment Act

A while ago, I proposed a floating requirement based on the Delegate's influence rather than the region's WA count, which would negate Sil's concern of a sudden uptick in WA members rendering SCers ineligible. In such an event, the Delegate's influence would gradually increase, as should each...

Confirmation of Ambis to the Election Commission

I'm not so much concerned about Ambis' past history, but rather that I have not seen him participate in the region in any meaningful way since obtaining citizenship. In fact I wasn't even aware he is a citizen until I saw this appointment, and upon checking he has 6 forum posts, 7 Discord...

    ForFishing For Delegate

I appreciate your enthusiasm for the region but I think this run is a bit premature - after all you weren't even a citizen when the last election took place. I'd encourage you to continue participating in the Executive Staff to learn more about how our government functions. I know that can be a...

    [PASSED] Infinite Lanes Revision

You ask if any recent bills have benefitted from being arbitrarily held back for a vote, but I can throw the opposite question back at you - has there been any detrimental effect on the region that some of these bills have been held back from a vote? Some bills might require less time to...

    [PASSED] Infinite Lanes Revision

I agree with this. I'm more thinking from the perspective of regular citizens, the two-bill limit gives more time for citizens to consider the bills rather than voting on all of them at once.

Commemoration of The Day of Flem [FAILED]

The short answer to your question is "for fun", or to be more precise, it was created as satire. It was never intended to anything other than that. People used to have a bit of fun with it, as you can see in the sub-forum that's specifically dedicated to it, but it died down a long time ago...

[PASSED] Free and Speedy Troops Act

Changing the WFE or suppressing the RMB is a complete non-issue right now because all it takes is for the Delegate to make a single post announcing they've authorised the NPA to do it in a particular region. And that's what this bill is trying to change, allowing the NPA to banject natives...

[PASSED] Free and Speedy Troops Act

Banjecting natives is a serious action and it could hardly be called micromanaging for the RA to restrict the NPA on its ability to do that. The NPA has always been perfectly empowered to banject liberators and defenders without any RA approval, which is what most banjections are during the...

[PASSED] Free and Speedy Troops Act

I just find it ridiculous that idea that it should be fine for the NPA to ignore all restrictions so long as another org is technically leading the operation. And there's no vote required to get rid of Class A restrictions, just a post from the Delegate.

[PASSED] Free and Speedy Troops Act

Or...we can keep the law as it is, because it currently says nothing about giving the RA advance notice. The NPA could take a region, then inform the RA, gather influence while waiting for the RA to vote on performing restricted actions, then banject to your heart's content after the RA gives...
