Ministry of Integration, The North Pacific
Opening Address - July 2026
Opening Address - July 2026
Another term of the government goes by and here is the time to start another. This is not just a opening address, but will be a post that shall serve as an end of the term report for Integration and highlight my plans for the upcoming term. As i quote myself from my last address, "The Ministry of Integration is one of the vital organs of the Executive of the North Pacific" and i believe i did a pretty decent job as the minister in the past four months and hope to do better in the next four. I would first like to extend my gratitude and wishes to @Halsoni who has decided to keep his faith in me once more in handling this portfolio. I would like to congratulate upcoming Vice Delegate @Voopmont and Speaker @Ayuzh in their respective election victories. I also thank my fellow colleagues in the cabinet who have been a constant support to the advancement of the North Pacific.
Four Months, Gone too Soon? : End of Term Address
In the past four months which was my previous term, there has been many changes to how the Integration ministry was structured or functioned. New deputies were appointed and each and every one's contribution has played a major role in the ministry. Extending my gratitude to @Cloud , @Meteturan , @Arty and @Nor.Cheek for their service as the deputies. The major change we had in the term was the decision of the delegate to retire task specific roles in every ministry which has been taking a slight toll at the Mentorship program and Birthday Party Striker Group. For the first half of the term, both the programs were functioning normally but with the changes we are yet to find a replacement mechanism for both.
Manual Recruitment was the main focus of the ministry in the previous term and i am delighted to say that the reforms and the introduction of Recruitment Rewards Program has been a complete success (Thanks to @Voopmont for his vision on the program). The numbers does say so, we shall look at the numbers of telegram sent from March 1st 2026 to July 1st 2026 (which is an approximate timeline) and our recruiters have sent a total of 69,475 telegrams when a total of 60,548 telegrams were only sent in the previous six month term. Comparing the numbers in the previous six month term and the just finished three month term, there is a huge increase in the activity and recruitment. The Cards won through the rewards program until the month of June has been gifted to the winners and achievers of milestones.
Resource Review had been slow in the first half of the term, but with the introduction of Resource Maintenance Drive in the latter half the efforts have increased and multiple dispatches have been edited and send for updation. Advertisements and Telegrams have been reworked on and has been delivering good results. A new regional telegram for citizenship and executive staffs have been implemented and it is send regionwide every month. The Cards Revival Committee has been busy with the Monthly Card Collection Competition which has been a hit and has brought in card farmers across the game to join TNP for participation. Last but not least, the Frontliners program had a huge revival with a new set of rules and instructions. This change has resulted in a more active team and they've been successful in delivering their responsibilities. Thanks to LGA @Marcus Antonius, the Gameside Advocates have also been doing their best and has been helping with the Frontliners program.
Four More Months, What's Next?
In the upcoming term, our primary focus would be to keep on the same momentum for all our successful projects. Meanwhile we also need to further improve our ministry and newer projects will be introduced. Let us take a look at my plans for this term one by one.
- Recruitment:
Recruitment has been that part of Integration which was given the maximum focus last term and that shall be continued this term too. The performance of our recruiters have been exemplary which is pretty much visible in the numbers. This term our main focus would be to further increase the numbers and find more nations to join our community. Other agenda's for recruitment include:
a) Reworking the recruitment template inorder to receive better conversion rate of recruits.
b) Data collection from recruiters regarding no of telegrams sent, conversion rate and other statistics. - Resource Review:
Resource Review, as mentioned in the last section has been doing pretty well since the later half of the previous term. The Resource Maintenance Drive shall be continued to be used as our primary system for reviewing dispatches and other resources. The dispatches that were edited on the forums shall receive an updation gameside as soon as possible. I encourage every staffer to claim atmost three dispatches to work on. A new list of dispatches in need of updation shall be published as the current list gets completed. - Frontliners:
The Frontliners program's current format and system seems to be bringing results more than ever. Which means we shall be continuing with the same system. Meanwhile certain advertisements will be updated to include recent appointments and changes in the community. We also welcome fellow staffers to suggest improvements to the advertisement templates. - Mentorship Program and Birthday Party Strikers Group:
The Mentorship Program and Birthday Party Strikers Group has been pretty inactive as of lately due to the task specific role's getting removed. Since the removal was part of a process to get rid of unneccesary clutter in the server, we need to think of other means to get the program running again. Staffers are welcome to share their ideas in the #integration discord channel. I have a plan to rework on this existing thread to Request Mentors and initiate a proper system to get the job done. - Cards:
The Cards Revival Committee will be another major area of focus in this term. The Monthly Card Collection Competition seems to be in full swing and is attracting participation. The Cards Revival Committee shall also be having a major shuffle with inactive members getting removed and active and interested members from the Cards Community getting included. But inorder to bring back The North Pacific Cards Guild to its long lost glory, there is a need for a lot of work and for that i have a bunch of proposals and plans to execute. Some of these plans are:
a) Bringing back Nationstates' largest card event, The North Pacific's Card Symposium either as a event managed solely by TNPCG or by collaborating with other prominent cards societies such as Card Gardens and the one in The Wellspring. The Symposium is planned to be a week long event spread across a seperate discord server as well as the gameside. This event is planned to be hosted towards the end of August or the first week of September. To read more about the last symposium please visit this Dispatch.
b) Setting up more card based events such as the return of the Kard Karl competition. In order for this to happen, we will be needing a points system and this point system shall be implemented across the ministry and hoping across the executive in the future.
c) Rewriting the The Comprehensive Guide to NationStates Cards which used to be the go-to encyclopedia for all card related questions and queries. This dispatch is now severly outdated and needs immediate updation. This is set to return before the term ends.
More programs and plans regarding the revival of Cards Guild has been shared with the committee and shall be implemented accordingly.
Deputy Minister Appointments
For the upcoming term, @Nor.Cheek and @Arty shall continue to serve as the Deputy Ministers of Integration. During the last term, they have been a constant support and has been working a lot towards the better of Integration. I have further decided to include more Deputies in-order to bring up more individuals to the leadership stage. Thus, I also announce the appointment of @Josi as the third Deputy Minister of Integration in this term. I have kept one more slot open and have received two applications as of now. An appointment shall be made soon for that spot. I request all Deputy Ministers to take the Oath of Office.
Thank you everyone for attending my long but detailed TedTalk.
Wishing all of us a very best this term,
Minister of Integration
