Opening Address - March 2026​

The Ministry of Integration is one of the vital organs of the Executive of the North Pacific and taking over its reins is a challenge and I hope to do my best while in this position of responsibility. I am forever grateful to Delegate @Halsoni for having faith in me that I will be able to handle such a portfolio. I also extend my congratulations to the Delegate, the newly elected VD @Marcus Antonius and Speaker-elect @Cloud. I also thank the outgoing Minister of Integration, @Orange for his service and for his guidance when I served as his deputy.

To those who doesn't know me yet or are not as familiar as the rest, I am Treekidistan (also known as Treek, Indu) and has been around the region since the year 2021. This would be my fifth year in this region (ignoring some short breaks in between) and has handled multiple portfolios (FA, Cards and Integration) as its deputy and has also served as the Deputy Speaker and have been a long time Gameside Advocate. Understanding the fact that I do not have to boast about what I have been doing around, let's get to the main part.

Now it is the time that we get back to planning and working. A new term means its time for a new plan. Other than the usual tasks followed by the Integration Ministry till date, we shall also be focusing on Cards this term. Moreover we shall also try to expand ourself towards every benefactor of our wonderful region. Let's take a look at each of the tasks under the ministry one by one and see how it needs to be taken care of.

Recruitment
Recruitment is the most important function of this ministry since it is very vital for the existence and growth of this community and hence it means that recruitment remains our primary area of focus. The Delegate has also made it clear that recruitment shall be one of the major aspects of his term's agenda. We have our own recruitment bot in the Executive server that has been serving us with the maximum automation it could perform. Data from the previous term suggests that the recruiters from the ministry was able to send over 40,000 telegrams in the whole term. 40,000 seems to be a huge number but it is no where close to how much certain regions do work on. This time, I am in hopes of setting up a target of at least 15,000 telegrams to be send every month. Thanks to my colleague @Cloud, who has written this Wonderful Guide on Recruitment.
Recruitment is a time-consuming task and also takes a lot of effort and for this to be more appealing to the staffers and the public, the Ministry of Integration is delighted to announce the Recruitment Rewards Program. Thanks to @Voopmont for his thoughts and ideas on this new program. The Recruitment Rewards Program awards top recruiters with cards and decorations. Each month's top recruiter is awarded a legendary card and a banner to include in their forum signature. Additionally, a legendary card and a banner are awarded to recruiters upon reaching a total of 10000, 15000, 20000, and 25000 telegrams sent. This program has started counting telegrams from March 1st 2026 and the first winner shall be announced on April 1st 2026.

Mentorship Program
The Mentorship program shall function as it has been all these terms. The roll call does take about the mentorship program to be spread across the Forums, Discord and even Gameside but most of its activity has been in the forums when newcomers join. Later in the term, we shall focus on expanding that and making sure that the mentors are easily accessible in all sections of the community. We shall also be distributing a list of resources that could be used by the mentors while conversing with their mentees.

Birthday Party Striker Group
This fancy named group is tasked with wishing members of this community, 'a very happy birthday' whenever their birthday is on. Most of this team's activity happens in the forums and there is not much development that is supposed to happen in this area.

Resource Review
Another major area of Integration is Resource Review. This team is tasked with updating and writing dispatches and other documents for the region. With Sil regaining access to the Northern Light I hope this process gets to be faster than before. We shall be working on updating the welcome telegram and other advertisements if necessary. Also work on setting up newer and updated advertisements for staff recruitments and endorsements. A list of dispatches that needs updating shall be made and the team shall be working on it. Staffers are encouraged to find such dispatches and share in the appropriate channel.

Frontliners
Frontliners is a team that is responsible for posting advertisements in the RMB for recruiting executive staffs, asking for cross endorsements and joining the North Pacific Army. The Frontliners program shall be revisited to ensure better functionality and an idea to expand it to the Gameside Advocates are also in discussion. Cards Revival Committee
In the last term, Delegate @Halsoni decided to setup the Cards Revival Committee under the purview of the Ministry of Integration. The Committee is tasked with reviving our cards community and the Cards Guild. Details of the appointment can be found here. Last month, the Guild was able to revive the Monthly Collection Competition and we plan to continue hosting it in this term too. In this term the Cards Committee shall focus on setting up the Card Contributor program, reviving a alternate to the TNP Great Card Giveaway, rewriting the Comprehensive Guide to Cards (Nationstates' most upvoted cards related dispatch) as well as restarting the annual TNP Cards Symposium.

Deputy Minister Appointments
@Cloud shall reprise his role as the Deputy Minister of Integration. Meanwhile, @Arty has decided to step down from this post. We thank @Arty for his service and wish him the best for his role as the Minister of Culture. This also means I am looking for staffers interested to be my deputy this term! Those interested are instructed to contact me in Discord. Already appointed Deputy Minister is requested to take your oath in the appropriate forum thread.

Conclusion
Finally, we are an all welcoming ministry ready to hear any of your ideas on how to increase activity and engagement in the region.
