Opening Address
As the Delegate outlined in his campaign, the aim for the Ministry of Culture this term is to create an ‘informal VC culture,’ where members of the region are encouraged to get to know each other, and our duty is to help facilitate this by organising frequent events like movie and game nights. One of my personal priorities this term is to reintroduce weekly Theme Thursdays, where members can share photos, videos and music relating to a weekly theme. As MoC, I am also responsible for NBS radio broadcasts, and I want that to be a big thing this term. Plans are already in the works to have a post-election broadcast. As well as this, work will begin as soon as possible to create at least one TNS-style publication by the end of the term. By just focusing on one for now, we can ensure absolute attention to detail, to create a high-quality publication. For me, fun is the greatest form of soft power a region can produce. For this reason, I propose working with the Delegate and MoFA to organise a multi-regional event, perhaps for Halloween.
Staffers - there will not be another roll call, as we have just had one organised by former Minister Mastenva. However, it would be great if you could let me know that you’ve seen this, and are ready to start work.
