Feed The Wild Birds Bread

The World Assembly,

Horrified at the long history of overregulation by this august institution,

Recognizing that feeding the wild birds bread should be a cherished human right,

Concerned that the right to feed the wild birds bread is likely under assault in some member states,

Hereby enacts legislation allowing all citizens of member states the cherished right to:



  • 1. Feed the wild birds bread while sitting on a bench in a park2. Sprinkle bread in any body of water so that the wild birds may congregate around it and consume it


Furthermore, in the interests of promoting widespread utilization of the venerated right to feed the wild birds bread, member states shall assign funds to support a committee staffed by internationally-recognized wild-bird feeding enthusiasts, to be named 'The Feed the Wild Birds Bread Committee,' which shall:



  • A. Utilize mass media to raise public awareness about the entertainment value of feeding the wild birds bread, especially when feeding the wild birds bread is coupled with the following contextual settings:
    • aa. Sitting on a bench in a parkbb. Enjoying body of water, such as a lake or a pond

Vote AGAINST “Feed The Wild Birds Bread”.

Overview
To understand this proposal, you first need to understand that it is a joke proposal, and not intended to be serious. The proposal essentially allows (and encourages) citizens of member-states to “feed the wild birds bread”. It then creates a committee which will “utilize mass media” to inform people about the “entertainment value” of “feeding the wild birds”.

Recommendation
This proposal essentially spits in the face of the GA, making it clear that proposal quality is an afterthought. It contains numerous spelling and grammar mistakes, actually harmful provisions, and isn’t even funny. Furthermore, it wasn’t even drafted in a drafting thread. There is zero reason to consider voting for this.

For these reasons, the Ministry of World Assembly Affairs recommends a vote AGAINST “Feed The Wild Birds Bread”.
