If there's one thing all North Pacific Army officers dislike more than anything else, it's rust. It tends to get everywhere and at seemingly blinding speeds, slowing down even the most experienced of soldiers. Every Minister of Defense must face this eternal menace with a renewed sense of confidence at the beginning of each term - it is the proverbial hat man of inactivity in all armies.
So over the weekend, when a new voice (mine) placed a call from the High Command Throne Room requesting a serious de-rusting of the barracks, one officer in particular stepped up, brushed off the cobwebs in the corners of the toolshed, and sounded a fog horn out into the quiet midnight air. That officer was the seasoned General and terrifier of rust proponents everywhere: @Koopa103.
Unfortunately, there still must have been some dust (don't even get me started on dust) in the old thing, because it's shrieking wail could not reach England, where most of the army were already stationed. It did, however, reach the attentive ears of two soldiers, who ran full pelt over to the shed and grabbed scores of mops, bleach bottles, and other cleaning utensils. Those tremendous soldiers were @QuietDad and @Ornge.
Once the barracks were spick and span, the trio decided to go for a moonlit run together out into the wilderness, cleaning up some local graffiti along the way.
