List of Chancellors of Ostmark (2025-1978)
Listi yvir Kanslarar av Ostmarkar (2025-1978)
The list below features the chancellors of Ostmark, from 1978 to 2025. The politics of Ostmark has been deeply influenced with the cultural ideology of social democracy, as the Ostish welfare state model has become the nations de facto state ideology since the Fascist Wars. Currently, Benedikt Félix Hrøríksson of the Høyre (Conservative) Party is serving as the incumbent chancellor of Ostmark, in coalition with the Christian Democrats. Historically, the Social Democratic Union of Ostmark has been the most popular party in Ostish political history, however the recent shift to right-wing politics in the country has resulted with decreased approval rates. The Chancellor is invited to the presence of the sovereign after the elections, forming a government with royal assent and officially assuming office only after. The official residence of the Chancellor is the Ríkishúsið (13 Vindhólm Street) in Áslo's Ulby district.

Folketing of the Kingdom
Folketinget í Kongaríkinum
The Folketing (Ostmark: Folketinget, lit. 'The people's thing' or 'People's assembly'), also known as the Parliament of Ostmark or the Ostish Parliament in English, is the unicameral national legislature (parliament) of the Kingdom of Ostmark. Established in 1839, the Folketing was the lower house of the bicameral parliament called the Riksdag until 1903; the upper house was the Landsting. It meets in Kongeðhús Palace, on the islet of Nederby in northern Áslo.
The Folketing passes all laws, approves the cabinet, and supervises the work of the government. It is also responsible for adopting the state's budgets and approving the state's accounts. As set out in the Constitution of Ostmark, the Folketing shares power with the reigning monarch. But in practice, the monarch's role is limited to signing laws passed by the legislature; this must be done within 30 days of adoption.
The Folketing consists of 300 members; including thirty from Áslo. General elections must be held every four years, but it is within the powers of the chancellor to ask the monarch to call for an election before the term has elapsed. On a vote of no confidence, the Folketing may force a single minister or the entire government to resign.
Members are democratically elected by proportional representation: 145 directly in constituencies using the D'Hondt method, alongside 55 leveling seats. The Ostish political system has traditionally generated coalitions. Most post-war governments have been minority coalitions ruling with the support of non-government parties. The first sitting of the house is usually attended by the queen.

Cities of Ostmark
Býir í Ostmark
This is a list of towns and cities in Ostmark. The Ostish language word býur means a town or city — there is no distinction between the two words as there is in Mercanti. Historically, the designation of town/city was granted by the king, but since 1996 that authority was given to the local municipal councils for each municipality in Ostmark. In Ostmark today, there are 108 towns/cities, but they have no legal authority or powers and they are not an administrative body, it is simply a designation. All local government rests with the municipality which may or may not have a town/city located within it.
