Diyar, officially the Federation of the Communes of Diyar (Diyari: Federasyona Komunên Diyayê), is a country located on southern Iteria. Covering an area of 206,232 square kilometers (79,627 sq mi), it possesses a long coastline on the Meterran Sea. Diyar has maritime borders with Goyanes through Ascalon and the island of Hormuz, as well as land borders with Alnaria, Rafhazan, Iraelia, and Skanda. Diyar is divided into forty-seven subnational entities, called "communes," which maintain varying degrees of autonomy from the federal government. Astahran is the capital as well as the largest city. Other major urban areas include Haqlanah, Jirawi, Arapur, and Basrah.

Currently, Diyar is governed as a federal one-party parliamentary republic following Picardist-Fatollahiist communist ideology. The nation's unicameral legislature is the People's Congress of the FCD. The FCD's head of state is the President, currently Damaw Pale, and the head of government is the Premier, currently Hevdem Bagok. With a population of 19.7 million people, Diyar is the Xth most populous nation on Iteria. Diyar is a member of the Iterian League.
