However, it does not include any Official Opinion, Verdict or Sentencing Order of the Court or any decision or argument made in a trial or request for review identified in Part One) Yes

12. Have you authored any briefs in requests for review? (If so, please identify the requests for review) Yes - a brief in support of the government in On the Constitutionality of the Reject Fascism Act and a brief opposed to the Speaker's action in On the Ability of the Speaker to Retract Citizenship

Part Three: Other Relevant Experience

14. Have you served in a Constitutionally-mandated Elected Office? (This does not include the office of Justice) Yes

15. Which offices have you served in and between what dates? Speaker (January 14-May 13, 2017), Delegate (May 13, 2017-January 12, 2018; January 12-May 12, 2019; May 11, 2022-current), Vice Delegate (July 23, 2018-January 12, 2019)

16. Were you required to make a decision which required you to analyse and apply the law? (If so, please identify no more than two examples of this and explain why they show substantial knowledge of the law) Probably - you have to have a decent idea of what the law is when deciding whether or not to do something, but most of those situations are a simple "can this be done or not" and if it can, then we proceed, and if we can't, then we don't. There were times we had to change the law to proceed, such as when I changed law on regional officers, or when we changed when we could ban players who were admin banned on the forum. These were usually not complex legal quandaries that required a lot of study and knowledge of the law, though, so the answer in the spirit of your question is probably "no."

17. Have you served as a government official in any other office in the previous two years? (This does not include any office identified in Part One) Yes

18. Which offices have you served in and between what dates? Chief of Staff of External Affairs (September 11, 2020-January 11, 2021); I was also continuing to serve as a member of the Security Council (since September 11, 2017)

19. Were you required to make a decision which required you to analyse and apply the law? (If so, please identify an example of this and explain why it shows substantial knowledge of the law) No

23. On what date/dates were you recalled from office? N/A

24. Have you previously been found by the Court to be in contempt of court or to have submitted an appeal or review that was frivolous or solely for the purpose of delaying proceedings? No

25. In which trials or requests for review did the Court make those findings? N/A

26. Have you previously had your membership of the Bar revoked for any reason other than ceasing to be a citizen? No

27. On what date/dates was your membership revoked? N/A

28. If you answered Yes to any of questions 20, 22, 24, or 26, why do you consider that you would be an acceptable member of the bar, despite any prior conviction, recall, adverse finding by the Court, or revocation of Bar membership? N/A

Part Six: Request for Admission and Declaration

I apply to the Bar Commissioners for admission to the Bar.

I declare that the information I have provided in this application is true and that I have not failed to provide any information required by this application.

The Bar Commission have reviewed the application, and we have decided to accept Pallaith's application to the Bar.

In relation to Pallaith's application, I am satisfied that he is a suitable candidate for admission to the bar. He has served as a Justice and authored two strong opinions in requests for review which show he does have the requisite knowledge of the law. That is also supported by the briefs he has written which were in each case shown to be correct by the conclusions reached in the Court's rulings and the other CMEOs he has held which would require a degree of knowledge of the law.

Fine with admitting Pallaith

About Pallaith, I don't have any problem admitting them to the bar, they have answered and proven they have the needed skills for the job.

Since we've all discussed about Pallaith's submission, I motion this to a vote.

I vote Aye to the admission of Pallaith to the Regional Bar.

Three days have passed since the calling of a vote, and only 2 of the 3 Bar Commissioners casted their vote.
According to the Bar Commission's Rules:

Majority has been achieved with a majority of the Bar Commissioners voting Aye, and one Abstaining indirectly.
According to Section Two of the Bar Commission's Rules:

Thus, Pallaith will be accepted as member of the Bar of the North Pacific.
The decision will be posted shortly, alongside a transcript of the discussion.
