I'm keen to expand the scope of our RPs in the region and seeing the Pan Fighting Championships thing gave me this idea, a regional football association and associated club and country competitions.

So how would the soccer matches work?
Do players have a skill level and the one with higher stats wins?
Or are we going to RP them out?

The way it works on the NS forum is that they use scorinators to decide results - with a variety of things that can effect that - which is what i'd do for anyway tournaments I'd run involving teams from outside my nation. I'll probably simulate the results of my domestic competitions in-game.

This topic is a very good guide to start with.

Sytarenne:
North Korea has biggest stadium

wtf
It's a cult of personality. If you don't attend, you may find a few darkly-dressed people at your front door in the next few days.

I bet they forced their people to make it for them because there is no way North Korea can afford to make: Panmunjom flagpole, Ryugyang Hotel, and the Rungrado 1st of may Stadium all together.

Maybe, maybe not. Either way, this conversation is heading toward threadjack territory.

Yes. Only fill out the first form, so I can include your information in the second post. And take a look at this NS Sports guide.

Sytarenne and Syrixia you've not listed all of the teams in your league :P

Go generic until you can. In the UK a lot of teams have names like 'United', 'Town', or 'City'. If there's a Spanish or Portuguese influence maybe try 'Real', 'Athletic/Atletico' or 'Sporting'. A lot of French teams use 'Olympique' or 'Stade'. Italians have 'calcio' (Italian for football or kick) as a prefix or suffix for a lot of teams.

And in Eastern Europe you'll see 'Dynamo/Dinamo', 'Spartak' and sometimes even 'Torpedo'. Some teams take names from feats or ideals, or by the professions or sports they were founded out of. This wiki page has a lot of ideas to take from.

You've listed 9 teams but said your division has 20 in it.

Strahov Stadium had 250,000 standing capacity, but it was also falling apart. I suppose you could have a modern 250,000 standing stadium but I'd imagine stadium disasters (like Heysel or Hillsborough) would be more likely to happen.

The largest football attendance ever was a shade under 200,000, standing, in Brazil's Esatdio do Maracana. In 1950. Today, after having been rebuilt, it has a capacity of just under 80,000.

Strahov Stadium was used for football and is often cited as having a capacity of 250,000. That capacity was for concerts, gymnastics and other events that needed very little space.

The highest attendances for sporting events have been for motor racing or horse racing/eventing, two sports that allow for more stands and more room than you'd get at pitch sports stadiums. And no single sporting event has ever had an attendance over 400,000 (except for one, a race track in Mexico.

Just some things to consider.

* As a city of 32 million, Academy City has dozens of teams. To keep the National league truly "national" only the top three teams from the AC league are promoted into the National League each season.

Colonel Ramsay Morandi, Deputy Director of the Department of Physical Training and Exercise Medicine, is the current league organizer.

The AC Railguns are the current league champions, which is why they will be representing Sadakoyama (in a special National uniform) at the upcoming 2015 Regional Fair.

The Adelaide Mudhoppers are the underdogs of the National League, having never won the title since the club's establishment in 1986.

The Lefleur dome is named for Thierrey LeFleur, a French physician on board the Engraulis who was instrumental in combating the initial disease problem and who organized the first prophylactic health regimen, including physical fitness, for the colony. The stadium is incorporated into the structure of Academy City as a whole, and is a domed Olympic-style multi-purpose arena seating 115k. The translucent dome incorporates an algae farm, so appears to be bright yellow-green stained glass.

You're free to organise exhibition matches for now, an actual tournament will happen at some point as well. I can scorinate results and post match reports, unless you or the person you're facing would rather do that.

If I am scorinating then I need a skill level between 0 and 10 (Naizerre, who I'm rping as one of the best sides in TNP has a skill level of 7.2) and a style number, between -5 and +5 (-5 being most defensive and +5 being most offensive).
