Charter of The Unity Party:
Preamble
We, the signatories of this Charter, hereby agree to the formation of The Unity Party and to support the rights of the people, to advocate for transparency in the regional government, and to promote equality for all citizens before the law in a way that brings all sides together for constructive discussion and unity.

Article I: Principles of The Unity Party

Justice:
The Unity Party holds that all citizens of The North Pacific shall be considered equal before the law. No exceptions or leniency should be made for any citizen that commits a crime and is found guilty said crime.

Dual Citizenship:
The Unity Party holds that dual citizens should be given the same rights of any other citizen of The North Pacific and should not face discrimination of any kind. Dual citizens should have the right to choose whether to disclose information on the voting of their other representatives in other regions. This should not apply to the issue of potential voter fraud in The North Pacific and dual citizens shall be held to the same standards of other citizens in that regard.

Raiders/Defenders:
The Unity Party holds that citizens should not be discriminated on the actions that they partake in outside of The North Pacific. The Unity Party believes that citizens of The North Pacific are regional citizens first and raiders/defenders second. Raiders and defenders should not be slandered or accused of treason for their involvement in other organizations as such.

Unity:
The Unity Party advocates for the victory of reason and civil debate over accusations and distrust. The Unity Party holds that citizens should not be afraid to express their beliefs and condemns those that seek to silence them. The Unity Party condemns any belief of taking rights away from other citizens.

Good luck with your party. I'm already in the Liberty Party and I'd join otherwise - this looks like it will be a good party :)

Thank you very much! We're going to try our best!

If you read over our Charter, we allow you to have membership to more than one party. We believe that our Party can be a forum for both sides to come together and truly compromise on the issues that face the region today.

We are now at five members. I think we should begin planning for a Party Conference to set our goals and our expectations with the new regional government coming in. What times work for you guys?

Alright... so we have a few different time zones clearly. This will be slightly difficult to manage, but we can probably work out a time and a date.

Also, Kingborough was kind enough to make a banner for the Party! It's being added to the top of the page. He also made a miniature banner for our signatures, which is also being added to the top of the page. Once again, thanks King for your help with this!

Thank you guys, for the work, the logo and the ideas. Let's show our conviction towards unity to everyone out there.

Also let's keep this thread alive and well. I was looking for a party like this since the beginning but the thread simply didn't show up... If we keep it visible, more people will at least read our charter.

But of course is in elections where our ideas are being put to the test. I'm at your disposal.

Good question. I was actually considering holding a Conference about that. However, we could easily put it to a vote here if you guys want.

It's up to you guys. Let me know, and we could get started as soon as possible. :)

I would like Alm or King as chairman at least until the upcoming elections to the Council and VD come to a conclusion, since they are the ones involved in them. In fact Alm is the de facto chairman anyway.

I would like it this way, let's see what other members think about it.

Funkadelia:
I, Funkadelia, on behalf of Funkadelia Island, hereby accept the rights and responsibilities of membership of the Unity Party. I will do my best to uphold the principles of the Unity Party and work for the greater good of the Unity Party and the region.
Your oath is hereby accepted. Welcome to the Unity Party!

Lennart: I think we should hold elections for Chairman when the special elections for Vic Delegate and the Council of Six have concluded. What do you guys think?

I, Malvad, on behalf of Malvad, hereby accept the rights and responsibilities of membership of the Unity Party. I will do my best to uphold the principles of the Unity Party and work for the greater good of the Unity Party and the region.

Malvad:
I, Malvad, on behalf of Malvad, hereby accept the rights and responsibilities of membership of the Unity Party. I will do my best to uphold the principles of the Unity Party and work for the greater good of the Unity Party and the region.
Your oath is hereby accepted. Welcome to the Unity Party!

Kingborough:
30th is a Friday, I am unavailable much of Friday morning and early afternoon.
Right... and you are Australia if I remember correctly... so would it then be Saturday for you?

I was thinking November 30, 8 PM Eastern Standard Time (USA). Thoughts?

EDITED (I did wrong calculation at first lol): That's 1:00 am here in the islands, friday... I will likely be drunk and partying. Any other day (except saturday) at that hour would be fine.

Let's see other member's opinion about it.

This is all well and good but kind of avoids the actual question people are most interested with in a military platform: what would the Unity Party seek for The North Pacific to do militarily?

After much discussion (and a lot of questioning for an answer), this question will be addressed at the upcoming meeting on November 30. By the way, would you guys be better with 12 PM EST?
