New forums

Yes. I have signed up. Yes. I support Dalimbar's RMB-related actions.

I can officially say that I encourage the new forum establishment. Not because of his new political establishment. Not because of his RMB policies. Not because of his political views, either. But because this is a North Pacific forum. We are all TNPers.

Let's try to act that way.

I think this just separates and divides TNP rather than uniting it. I don't see it as a good sign at all.
Then why not attempt to unite it?

I agree that this shows that he has no intention of working with this government. So let's bring the government to him.

Bring the government to him. He has not officially established a government, therefore we can establish our reformed government on HIS forums.

You always talk about the Delegate taking part in the government. Ironic, don't you think?

It's not that he doesn't like our forums, it's that he does not recognize our government. Why would he ever support our government on his forum? It is only a matter of time before he institutes his own rogue government.

I think Ator might be going a bit too far with the rogue government thing, at least so far, but I have to agree with the sentiment that moving our government to his forums is, quite simply, stupid.

What?

The response to someone misusing the power of one branch of this administration is to follow him to a place where he controls the only other branch that has real power?

Yes, I really think this is a good idea. Let me sign up straight away.

Perhaps...though he had threatened to create a government a while ago when he first went rogue. My thought is that now it will actually be put into place. Wouldn't surprise me.

My interest at the moment is in determining who his accomplices are. This is all so very Pixiedance-esque, what with the two other Admins using aliases no doubt, etc. Ah, memories.

...

P.S. A-I, can you tell us what's all in the forums once you register? I don't feel like registering right now, and all I see are 6 subforums.

This is most disappointing. Despite all the talk of wanting dialogue and discussion, all we have seen in the past few weeks is limited, if any, discussion and now this unilateral action, overturning the one hopeful action Dalimbar has taken since going rogue.

It is becoming increasingly likely that we have been played - strung along with the hope of reconciliation while this was not Dalimbar's intent.

Unless, of course, by "reconciliation" he means "do it my way".

Thus far there appears to be no place for burning heretics, kangaroo courts or military & intelligence bullying. I'll be waiting patiently for these necessities of proper civilization to be added.

I am sure if Dali continues to attract the inelligensia of the region like this he will have no problem setting up whatever government he decides. But that is the point, isn't it? HE is the one who gets to decide in his own little world.

From Dalimbar's welcome thread:

I’m glad you have that much enthusiasm. Unfortunately, we are still dealing with internal problems (such as violent militants who wish to threaten our new community) that prohibit a Delegate change just yet.

I remember when the rhetoric railed against ADN militants. Now who are the militants, the Alberta Progressive Conservatives, Dali? :P

Or maybe Gatesville

This is the forum where things happen, not on jairo. Just keep our link in the RMB, folks.

Flem, you may want to edit the banner.

Not to rake over old ground but the ADN? a bad influence.

And dali was a defender.

The cycle continues.

I'm balancing my want to be nosy and join with my fear of IP snatching yet I cant imagine him knowing what to do with it

Also, might I suggest not being tempted to register on those jairo boards? This is our home. A WFE can't take that from us so quickly. Let's see him tout it.

Oh, poo to creating a new forum. Keep it all here.

Incidentally, has anyone from the government, the cabinet in particular, actually communicated with the Delegate in a proper and formal manner? I mean in an official capacity to try to solve the whole matter?

To deal with this matter without a full-blown revolt (i.e.: creating a new forum, which is inane because this forum is already in the WFE last time I checked) isn't neccessary at all.

The simplest solution is to go on with elections, keep this government up and running, be responsible in keeping it active as much as possible and then work with the 'rogue' Delegate to get things back on track. Otherwise, this will only end up as an unprecidented three ring circus.

I have a very strong level of concern about the lack of distinction between the Delegate and forum administration that Dalimbar, presumably, has set up.

As a Regent of The North Pacific University, I will state that Dalimbar has made no contact with the Board of Regents, and I'm sure he has not contacted Ator People as the Chancellor, and as one of the Regents, I object vehemently to the attempted usurpation of the University by Dalimbar.

He has not contacted me. I too am quite upset about that.

Listen. I am not politically on his side, but when was the last time somebody actually enforced an RMB-related policy?

That sounds remarkably like "but he made the busses run on time" argument.

Can you honestly overlook everything else he is doing just because he talks big to some spammers? Honestly?

And even in this area I have not seen Dalimbar do much more than talk. There is only one nation on the regions banlist - conservativeUK. It could be that he has done a lot of "enforcing" that I have not seen, but I visit the regional HQ several times a day and I have not seen it.

It is worth, periodically, noting who has signed up for the forum:

12 accounts listed.

Chodean Kal
Architect
Apollo-Industria
Koba (no idea who this is, but they are already an admin on the forum)
Red back
Nemuri Mori
Limitless Events (ooh look! The one who posted all our IP addresses in the Lexicon)
Khablan
Evil NPO Spy
North Harmoneia
Black Rig (of the Refounded Mesianic (sic) Empire)
Neenee

Architect is also an admin, and Apollo Industria has probably been an invader spy all along (I'm just tastelessly posting my guess as I am not NPIA). That's quite a list :bigdoh:
