Royal Forces maintain order against secessionist traitors in border regions with Sutherland
The Queen Mother declared on Monday that the Sutherland election was illegitimate and that McMasterdonia's allies in Kian, Meterra and abroad agreed that the territorial integrity of McMasterdonia must be preserved.
The Queen Mother spoke to Emperor Menelik II of Funkadelia, King Sherwin V of Esplandia and King Maximilien Auguste Subercaseaux VII of Valencia by phone to discuss the evolving situation and confirmed their support for McMasterdonia's territorial integrity. The respective Ambassadors were also summoned to the Palace for talks, but gave no indication to the press of their stance, instead referring inquiries to their respective foreign Ministries.
"The Sutherland election has no legitimacy, in terms of the McMasterdonian constitution or international law" The Queen Mother said in a live televised address from the Tiyiddes Palace "No province, politician, or individual has the authority to throw our Kingdom into the fires of division and segregation. In this challenging period of terrorism and extremism, we have an obligation to ensure the continued territorial integrity of McMasterdonia and the loyalty of our citizens. The Kingdom will prevent Sutherland from taking further erroneous steps that shall embolden extremist elements and pose an existential threat to the McMasterdonian people."
The Kingdom of McMasterdonia is continuing to battle an insurgency led by Archbishop Gunrei of Cape El, a former loyalist to the House of McMaster, the Archbishop declared a Patriarchate after declaring the leading members of the Royal Family and the political elite to be heretics in the eyes of Flemingovia. Gunrei's stronghold of Cape El remains under heavy bombardment from the air force and under siege by a naval blockade assisting in the Gulf of McMasterdonia. Despite this, morale amongst Patriarchate warriors in the northern border region near Sutherland and in the southern areas of McMasterdonia has remained undeterred.
"The conditions for ending the threat posed by the war, the ultimate destruction of Patriarchate terrorists and the return to normal life for the McMasterdonian people have been created and fostered by my Government" said The Queen Mother "Our forces in the border regions are committed to establishing de-escalation zones to minimise the conflict and allow medical staff to attend to the wounded. Sutherland's illegal attempts to secede from the Kingdom of McMasterdonia have thrown this effort into jeopardy."
Since the attempt to secede from the Kingdom of McMasterdonia, thousands of refugees and terrorists have fled the McMasterdonian border to seek refuge in Sutherland. The Queen Mother insisted that she was prepared to order the McMasterdonian Military to intervene in Sutherland to restore order. "The Kingdom's territorial integrity will not be threatened by further insurgents. The Sutherland regime has no military that can match the might of the Royal McMasterdonian Army. Loyal McMasterdonians who are held hostage by the illegitimate Sutherland regime will rally behind our forces as we restore order in the province."
The Kingdom's forces and allies remain resolutely focused on the defeat of the Patriarchate, with the conflict appearing to draw to a close, it is possible that their eyes could turn to Sutherland within the year.
