This thread is for general discussion on the Northern Super League, If you have any questions post them here.​
 
So for people who are wondering what this is, this is going to be a similar competition to the UEFA Champions League but with a different format. Interested nations will sign up with their domestic league champions (if you aren't currently running a domestic league in this forum or elsewhere just make one up) and submit a squad for the competition.

This is still very much a work in progress but we're definitely trying to be ambitious with it, and we're looking at doing things like:
  • A in-built transfer and trade market
  • Some kind of draft to start the competition off and mix up the teams a bit.
  • Rolling seasons from one to the next with replacement of teams with their nations new domestic champions
  • Some kind of tie-in with ongoing international competitions.

    And even more. As always, suggestions and comments are welcome.
 
There will be a standard player ratings and good transfer value for each player registered.

Anyone who wants to be registered as Referee, the application will begin shortly
 
The result of some serious brainstorming :P

  • Nations will submit a club, that's simple. The club must be their national champion team.
  • The first season, the club is allowed to have a reasonable transfer budget.
  • There will be a shared currency to buy players with so that nations dont have to compare rates and spend time trying to figure out deals.
  • There will be a table with all of the club budgets so we can keep track of them, whenever a deal/trade is made, their budget is changed accordingly.
  • Then there will be a thread for players who are up for transfer and what their transfer value is.
  • If a club wishes to purchase a player, they submit a bid in an application form on a bids thread. These applications must include the negotiation terms.
  • All submitted players in a clubs squad MUST have a transfer value, but not all players have to be up for transfer.
  • All clubs must have a transfer budget, nothing huge, and nothing miniscule.
  • A club must accept the terms of a bid so that the player can be transfered.
  • We will have transfer windows to buy players in.
