The Kalatunian Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomes all to the new official Kalatunian Embassy Program, which aims to:


1) Establish a foothold in the diplomacy of the North Pacific
2) Create new bonds of co-operation between Kalatun and the rest of the North Pacific
3) Strengthen existing bonds of co-operation between Kalatun and other nations of the North Pacific.
4) To respond to a small number of formal embassy requests, notably from the nation of Avalon.



Important notes:


- The capital city of Kalatun is Sythavt. However, it is the 3rd largest city. You may request an embassy in the largest city, Ikyzems, or the 2nd largest city, Broscio.
- The RP population of Kalatun, as of 17/08/15 is 31.2 million people. This number grows by 50,000 every week, due to our open border policy and our reputation as a home away from home for civil rights activists and those fleeing persecution in other nations.
- Applying for embassy exchange means that you are genuinely interested in mutual co-operation and you believe that our two nations can prosper and share alike views. For example, we will likely reject a nation that is extremely right-wing or against Civil Rights.

Proposed Ambassador, and their political and professional background: Doctor Carmen Lawrence, former Surgeon General during the reign of King Louis XIV. Doctor Lawrence is a highly experienced burns surgeon and has worked extensively with the Government of Mcmasterdonia to reform our publicly funded health care system, making it one of the finest in the world. In addition, Dr Lawrence has worked extensively with international aid organisations such as MCM-AID and the Southern Cross, to bring attention to the plight of the poor in developing countries. As Doctor Lawrence was approaching her 70th birthday, she agreed to serve the Kingdom as an Ambassador, which will allow her to continue her NGO work, but at a lower level of intensity.

Head of State: Currently vacant, nation has spent it's first years in an "Emergency Council" whilst order and civility is established. First elections just recently called.
Alliances and Organisations your nation is a part of: Allied with Kalatun
Requests Extraterritoriality?: Yes
Proposed Ambassador, and their political and professional background: Cale Grendel, former freedom fighter turned politician. During the rebellion in Borokko, the members of the Grendel family hid fugitives from the dictatorial government of Borokko for the many years of the "Troubles". The family were forced to take up arms themselves when troops from Borokkoan garrisons marched into their town and began rounding up innocents and committing atrocities. The Grendels were firmly active in the fighting from then on, to the very end when the Exodus of the Grendelwaldi people occurred. Family patriarch Avarro Grendel fell on the beach as the last boats left the shore in a hail of gunfire. His youngest son Cale took up the mantle of leading the people briefly, but since filling in as a de-facto Head of State, has now decided to dissolve government for an election, and himself has stood down in order to concentrate on other things. One of those is to learn more about other nations in the region, and has thus requested an ambassadorial role.

Additional notes: Grindelwald is a nation of refugees and freedom fighters who are fiercely independent, and passionate about independence. They are an armed nation, and uncompromising in their stolid belief in the concept of liberty. The nation aims to bring about a democratic process in Borokko eventually, though it will be a very long time before Grendelwald is able to take such a stand against a nation like Borokko.

Sum up your nation's views on civil rights in one or two sentences: Syrixia is, demographically, mostly liberal. Our government is currently controlled by the liberal Democratic Party. The government views civil rights as inalienable, meaning they cannot and should not be taken away.
