This is a general graphics request topic. Some things to bear in mind:

1. This is a request topic. That does not mean your request will be made, or that if it is made it will be made quickly. Those who make graphics are volunteers and work to their schedule.

2. Repeated bumping of requests is unneeded. If it has fallen off the page you may bump it once. Anything more will be considered spam. More than three bumps total is also spam.

3. This is not an RP mod thing, this is for everyone. Don't PM RP mods with requests.

4. The general forum rules, and my own special rule (Don't. Be. A. Lemon.) still apply.

Could I request a coat of arms?
I'd like something with the Eumenorian swan on it, using Eumenor's colours. Maybe a bit like the Slovenian coat of arms?

Hi guys! So, I'm looking into awesome-ifying my technological republic. I'm looking for a flag (since the American one, although it fits my RL locale, is just one of the pre-mades), as well as something I can use to spice up my dispatches, and other things. Something geek-tacular and sleek. I've been fiddling around with shots of 'Matrix code', but so far they look about as good as can be expected.. I'm no artist, which is why I'm here. (cross-posted to "Flag Editing, City Pictures," ....)

As Deputy Minister of Entertainment I am formally inviting tenders to create a seal for the Ministry. This would be used on all official ministry posts and to help members of the ministry to publicise their involvement in it.

Requirements:
The image must be in .png format.
The image must use the arms of the North Pacific in some capacity.

Currently, all other ministries have two seals. A large one and a smaller one. I'm not a particular fan of these styles, however should you decide to make it in this style, I will give it a fair chance at being selected.

Currently, all large seals have the coat of arms in the upper left. The medium and small ones do not.

No. As he and Bootsie clarified in their respective posts (Nierr by linking to other Ministries' banners and Bootsie by clarifying), he's talking about executive staff banners.

Yes, he uses the word "seal", however he links to what I would call the Executive Staff buttons. The seal of each Ministry is (in my opinion) the large blue circle with the CoA and the motto of the Ministry.

I'm pretty sure all I said was that I wanted a seal. As for those images Syrixia linked, I don't think I've ever seen them used.

It's irrelevant whether those are the ministry seals or not, as the requirements are still the same and what should be focussed on. I'm kinda disappointed that no one has actually taken up the request and this is just yet another topic filled with pointless chat.

Nierr, the issue was that the executive staff banners are usually referred to as such. Seals are as Syrixia linked (and they have been used before).

Since no one had any real clue what you wanted, since people were mixing up the terms "executive staff banners" and "seals", this chat was anything but pointless, since we were attempting to clear up exactly what it is you wanted in the first place.
 
I'm not sure it matters what it is, so long as it meets the two requirements I listed. :/

Those are indeed used, in official ministry declarations, letters of credence in other regions, ministry projects, etc. They're all over the place.
 
All right, after a lot of hasty work, I've finished a proposal for an executive staff banner:

You may want someone else to trim the edges (there's only so much I can do on a Chromebook)...

If you want to see them larger, I can provide those images too.
 
I came out with this. It looks similar to Nebula's, but I refined it so it's more similar to the other Ministry badges.

Here's my submission. It perfectly matches the template laid out by the other banners (unlike Nebula's/Syrixia's, which are slightly off in a couple points). I used a television, since it's the Entertainment Ministry. As well, the color right now is some weird gold, but I can change it within a few seconds if you want another color, which you likely will.

The only issue with ice blue is that it messes with my eyes, and I don't think I'd put something like that in my own sig.

Don't know about Bootsie specifically, but to me it's just really bright and stands out, even more than white. It may have something to do with blue light's association with sunlight[note]"Blue light, a part of the visible spectrum in solar rays, keeps us perky during the day by suppressing the release of melatonin, the hormone that causes sleepiness." (source)[/note], which is really bright.

I just installed a plugin, so I'll be working on this. Like the others, I'll be able to change the color in seconds when it's finished.
Edit: Never mind, it destroys kerning.

To me, even if a minority see it that way then it's an issue. I don't know about the other members, but I want to associate the Entertainment Ministry with pain as little as possible.
 
I'm going to make an absurdly large request, and if anyone is bored and wants to meet part of the request, or all of it then great :tb2:


I need 16 flags to represent the 16 provinces of McMasterdonia.

A. INTELLIGENTSIA CAPITAL (IC)

A region of universities and beautiful ancient buildings. I think the colours for this region would be silver and gold, perhaps with a coat of arms featuring symbols of knowledge and power.

B. SOUTH WEST (SW)

I'm thinking gold, white, and green, angled across the flags. To the centre should be a symbol related to mining and work.


C. THE DUCHY OF CAPRICORNIA (DOC)

Emerald and white. A coat of arms to the centre. Something European would be acceptable.

D. THE ARCHBISHOPRIC STATE OF CAPE EL (ASC)

This region is a flemingovianist state. Should be the flemingovian colours of lilac. Could possibly find other useful resources in the book of flemingovia.

E. THE SOUTHERN ISLE (TSI)
The city of Port Augusta. Any colour is fine, likely with a port or anchor symbol on it.

F. THE EARLDOM OF CASTELLO (TEC)

Silver and white. A fortress or castle as a centre piece would be acceptable.

G. THE ANCIENT PROVINCE (TAP)

maroon (like on my flag), and possibly gold, with a crown featuring prominently.

H. THE REACH (TR)
Orange and beige, farming region. Something to that effect. Not too fussy.

I. GRANTHEM (GR)

Black and white, with a red swan as the symbol.

J. AURORE (AU)

This city was named after a Queen from Guslantis. Something similar to their flag, but without the blue star. The McMasterdonian coat of arms could work.

K. HANSSOON REGION (HR)

Green, red, white, black, forming a H in the middle.

L. CENTRAL CITY (CC)

Three shades of blue.

M. KARNAM (KM)

Oranges and dark shades of yellow. A region of fields and sand.

N. THE CROSSING (TC)

Something that features water prominently, could be a bridge, or a water wheel.

O. THE NORTHERN MARSHES (TNM)

Light shades of blue. Snake is the regional animal. Could be featured.

P. THE WESTERLANDS (TW)

No idea for this one, see what you can come up with. The Capital is Johnslo city.
