This'll be my new roleplay, to introduce the new and revamped Cronaal! I plan on letting one or two people join in and no more, I'm also aiming to show of literacy skills and use of language as it's inspired by an image I saw during an English lesson. The image was of a woman wearing a thick coat. She was looking behind her back at something we couldn't see but I assumed it was an animal or a hostile person as she was seemingly lost in a winter forest, snow covered the ground like a blanket and the tall, thin trees were dead. She was also in a clearing or on a derelict path or railroad. It's also a more basic description of the setting of the roleplay itself.
I shall give an example post, mainly because I find it too difficult to describe it otherwise
"My breath steamed up in the bitter air. This forest was a prison to me, it was colossal and so mythical yet I felt so closed in, I felt claustrophobic just by realizing I was here. It was... unusually grim to think about after residing in the most remarkable, beautiful palaces that Smithworks was so famous for across the north of the continent. I could compare every aspect of my home to this forest. The crisp, feathery snow reminded me of the polar-bear rugs that laid the floors of the many reception and dining rooms, they were a favorite for southerners of Cronaal who dared not to cross the violent, lawless wilds of Tyrath and Ganjar. The imposing, coarse bark of the trees that irregularly littered the surrounding area and much more were comparable to the bark of the bonsai and yew trees which were commonplace in the gardens of the nobles and knighted land owners. They always lined what the commoners called 'Main Street' with delicate and graceful yews that towered above the cramped and paltry homes and stores that enormous, sprawling families with little money lived in, only across a street from the Grand Palace. I stopped thinking about it.
I missed home."
The roleplay's main location is, hopefully, going to be the Silver-Anvil Forest which covered much of the north of Cronaal during the 18th and 19th Century prior to the 'Snowflake Colonization', which was a major colonization of the north of Cronaal. The Silver-Anvil Forest and the 'Snowflake Colonization' both gain their name from the seemingly impermeable snow which acts like a white blanket, similar to Northern Solstheim in Morrowind's Bloodmoon DLC. The time period is going to be 1801, several weeks before the murder of Emperor Paul I of Russia.
The actual plot of the roleplay itself surrounds itself around a single woman who is named as Lady Diana Wrokford I, who is also a direct relative to the nation's modern leader Queen Diana Wrokford II. She's had to flee the nation's capital of Smithworks for an account of murder, her victim was the nation's heir - Prince Archibald York I. She fled to the north of the Cronaal landmass in search of a smaller city-state nation, which no longer exists in the modern day, named Astaerta-Loette with no information about it's location other than 'North'. Her name has a bounty due to this and several different groups of people to chase after her.
