Welcome to the Raybrandt Chronicles thread, the official source for news and facts regarding the Kingdom of Angelzream, the Principality of Ehlnar, the Raybrandt Dynasty, the Blue faith and, in short, anything related to how much Lennart Raybrandt rules.

A brief review of the history of Raybrandt Lineage and dominions.​

1600 AD. The House of Raybrandt is founded by Emeric Raybrandt, and is considered a bastard branch of the House of Hohenzollern from its very start. When Emeric claims his right to rule Brandenburg as Prince-elector and Margrave, Joachim III Friedrich says lol, arrest him! and Emeric escapes, traveling the world towards the east Indies.

1605 AD. Emeric dies while exiled in China, his sons and daughters swear to follow in his steps and claim random lands, ending up running from them towards the east, so the family moves a couple of miles with each generation, until they get to the coasts of The North Pacific.

1707 AD. Istvan III moves to the Island of Angelzrealm with the remains of the family, founding the port and town of Raybrandt. The native inhabitants don't give a damn about them yet. A big mistake.

1850 AD. Raybrandt town flourishes under the inbreeding Raybrandt family, thanks to the opium trade. They create an army and declare their independence, being Emeric II the first in the family to actually rule over anything. The native inhabitants become eager addicts, and an easy prey. The Raybrandt army conquer and assimilates the rest of the island and so the Kingdom of Angelzrealm is born.

1920 AD. The League of Nations threatens Angelzrealm with condemnation for its use of opium as a weapon. Angelzrealm avoids being condemned with a new drug legislation, but now needs a new way to control angelzrealmian people, and so the Blue Faith is created, as a shabby version of Christianism. King Andras is the first Raybrandt styled as "His Holy Blue Highness".

2011 AD. Lennart, a refugee from Ehlnar, marries princess Agnes, then heir to the Angelzrealm throne. He becames Prince consort and the next in the order of succession. Once this happens, every Raybrandt except himself dies from poisoning. The butler and the gardener are found guilty and executed.

2012 AD. Lennart continues the family tradition of claiming random sh*t and is accepted as High Prince of his own homeland, Ehlnar, until then an increasingly unstable Republic.

Ehlnar and Angelzrealm remain different sovereign states, even though they share the same Head of State and Army. Ivelin, Capital City of Ehlnar is now the home seat of the Royal Court and Palace​

The Royal army is, besides the Head of State, the greatest and most important institution Angelzrealm and Ehlnar share. Since its foundation in 1850, it rapidly became a pillar of society, supporting royal power and moving out of the way in political matters. Its first victory was the conquest of the whole Angelzrealm island, that was full of native junkies who couldn't barely fight, anyway.

When the Republic of Ehlnar found itself in constant difficulties in 2011, suffering invasions from mercenaries and tribes from the near desert of Ankh, Angelzrealm become its ally, and the Royal Army deployed to defend the Ehlnarim borders, gaining the lost lands back to the status quo. The Royal Army hence was one of the reasons why the Ehlnarim Council decided to accept Lennart Raybrandt as High Prince, possibly being the first war they won in their short and messed up history.

Now, a respected nation (Sovereignry) has occupied the rogue lands to the north, but still some groups threaten Ehlnar's Security from their headquarters located somewhere between the woods and mountains to the south. This menace includes corsair attacks to ehlnarim trade ships in the Ehlnarim Bay.

The high direction of the armed forces is planning a military response. Eventual Invasion of the lands to the south is not ruled out. As of now, military spending have increased a 30%, focusing in the navy, with infantry recruiting coming in second place. The armed forces consist now of around 50.000 full-time troops, most of them in Ehlnar.

A Special Forces Squadron (called the Special Forces Squadron tSFS) is being created and trained for the first time in the history of the Royal Army. They study the American special Ops to learn what not to do in their missions.

The war on terrorism​

Appeasement only makes the aggressor more aggressive

Here is the plan. Our forces are prepared to attack the terrorist camps and headquartes located due south and southeast. Near them lies the City-State of Luczern, which we expect to remain neutral, but their cynical government is not collaborating, and our intelligence service warning is clear: Luczern could switch sides if they feel our actions put their sovereignty at stake.

As we expected, the official declaration of war on terrorists was something those f*ckers wanted to hear. Now they have no reason at all to stop their attacks. Missiles have been launched from their positions, revealing their location in the south.


The royal aircraft, despite its relatively low firepower, reach some weak spots with air-to-surface missiles. Their supply line is disrupted by our troops, it seems we will win this battle once our soldiers take and secure the camp. But some bad news are coming from our second battle plan, northeast from here: the troops near Luczern lower their pace. Luczern fighter aircraft is attacking our position and supply line. In the Ivelin Royal palace, His Holy Blue Highness ends abruptly His meeting with the Luczernian Ambassador in Ehlnar.

They find unnaceptable our invasion of a supposed "demilitarized zone", and won't grant a way for our troops into their boundaries. Their words and their claims are the last resource shield for terrorists. Therefore, we are now at war with Luczern too.

Marshall Stein plans the battle of Luczern deploying 10000 men in the frontline. Our MiGs will distract their aircraft while our troops try to sorround the city, before proceeding with the siege, while waiting for most tanks and heavy artillery to put themselves in place. May the Blue Gods walk by our side.

The battle of Luczern​

We underestimated our enemy. Numbers deceived us, now we're at the gates of Luczern after days of siege. But no one wants to give the order to take it. Three times we tried, and three times we failed. Thousands of casualties and PoWs in our side. Marshall Stein himself arrives in the battlefield to plan the next strike.

Luczern has a population of around 25000 inhabitants, but our 7000 remaining troops fear their sudden attacks and their suicide bombs. Numbers tell us we will win after all, but three thousand men lost aren't the price we expected to pay.

Stein calls the officials and inform them about their next move.

We've got to take over Luczern, there's no other way to end the terrorist attacks. Our navy can keep corsairs at bay now, but that alone won't bring peace to the Ehlnarim bay. Luczern has to surrender.

But this isn't all I have to say. Three days ago their defeat was enough; Now Ehlnar and His Highness expect something else, we fight for annexation now. This was never about their sovereignty, but it seems the only game they know how to play. So be it.

The officials gathered around him scream "conquer" out loud. The message is replayed then everywhere in the front lines. There's a fragile peace and a suspicious silence all around. This time We attack and conquer!


With sunrise, the battle is over. The royal flag is waving over the Luczern capitol, and the Count of Luczern is in a secret meeting with Stein. Signing the treaty that turns his town and surrounding lands into a new Ehlnarim province. Count Karol will remain as governor, and the city would be granted certain degree of legislative autonomy as long as they pledge allegiance to Lennart Raybrandt and the Ehlnarim Council.

Without Luczern's support, the terrorists cells flee away. The Royal Army secure the areas around Luczern and claim their sovereignty based on the treaty signed by His Highness and Count Karol.
