State of the Region Address, August 2026
Fellow North Pacificans,
The state of our region is revitalised.
Over the past 11 months, I have had the distinct honour of serving as your Delegate, and last week, you once again put your overwhelming trust in my leadership. Thank you for this renewed mandate. I extend my sincere congratulations to Vice Delegate @Voopmont and Speaker @Ayuzh on their respective victories. I look forward to working with you two in my final consecutive term as Delegate. This election saw something unique, namely the first time in our history that an incumbent Delegate ran for a third consecutive term. We’ve entered uncharted territory when it comes to consistent leadership and direction. Long delegacies also come with risks, for example, the risk that the Delegate burns out or stagnation occurs in the executive due to uninspiring leadership. I’m confident that this will not happen during my third term in office. It feels a bit ironic to say that, given how late this address is. I will explain that a little bit: I’ve been able to largely control my mental health for 2 years, but basically my entire life. That being said, last week everything that had been building up for all those years culminated into one huge crash out that I was stuck in for several days. Terrible timing, I know. I won’t delve into much detail here, but rest assured that my cabinet was informed and that I am okay. No need to worry about little ol’ me.
The work that my government has done has changed the trajectory of this region for the next few years. We have stabilised our endorsements despite the summer slump, we have created a pipeline for newer players to get involved in the regional government, we are in the process of the largest revitalisation and reform effort of the North Pacific Army in its history, we have consistent activity in the executive thanks to a well-rounded cabinet and an excellent executive staff, and we have enjoyed the greatest amount of stability in regional direction ever. These efforts will continue, will be enhanced and will be fought for even more in the Halsoni III administration. I believe that we can be proud of what we have achieved so far. It is through the sheer determination of all North Pacificans that we are where we are, building up our region to reclaim our position at the top that we lost all those years ago. When it comes to sheer numbers, TNP cannot be beaten. We have the liveliest, yet still one of the most orderly, RMB communities of all the Feeders. We carried a WA Secretariat candidate across the finish line, and our dispatches consistently take the top spot. Why is that, you may ask? Because The North Pacific is the largest, most engaged feeder in the world. An achievement that we as a region should and can be proud of. A lot of regions run on just a few people carrying the load. Not us. We are a team of over 50 people that run the government, and that does not even include the legislative or judicial branches. Size does matter in NationStates, and we take the crown on that front.
Let’s take a trip down memory lane and take a look at what we’ve done over the past four months. These reports were compiled by the cabinet and edited by yours truly, as always.
Closing the old term
From the Executive Office of the Delegate
The Executive Office has been busy this term managing the upper government. We’ve been busy creating a proper awards structure and working with the NPA on a Military Directive. Additionally, the Executive Office is working hard to lift up new talent, as this government has been committed from the start to give more new people a shot than any administration before. Guiding the executive branch in the right direction and giving ministers the tools they need to succeed at their jobs has been at the forefront of our efforts.
The time of the Office of the Chief of Staff was spent on a variety of tasks, most notably tracking ministry performance, organising cabinet meetings, speaking with ministers about internal projects, and holding conversations with the Delegate about our executive direction and main priorities. During the brief few weeks after the cabinet shuffle, we started on full throttle, focusing on the Secretariat election. A significant amount of work has been undertaken across each ministry, including editing for TNS, recruitment, organising training operations for the NPA, and more. Without a doubt, the Chief of Staff has put the most effort recently into the Ministry of WA Affairs, working to support our authors through the guaranteed sponsorship program and securing GA#4 for a team of all TNP authors.
From the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Foreign Affairs brushed off some thick dust in the final few weeks of the term. While momentum is still being built now, the prior adjustments made so far have helped revitalise the ministry. Diplomatic postings have been re-assigned, staff applications have been processed and brought up to date, matters of diplomacy have been reignited, and outstanding embassy requests have been seen to. Internal discussions have been fruitful and have brought on board many of the newer staffers, which is reflected in the assignments given to those individuals at the start of this term. Going forward, the ministry has its sails set toward a place of greater engagement, activity, and research/development in service of the region's interests abroad. Overall, it is an exciting time to be involved in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
From the Ministry of Military Affairs
The NPA is on an upward trajectory. We're actively conducting operations, training new members, and participating with our allies in joint efforts big and small. We have a number of new troops with almost rabid levels of enthusiasm who will make for an excellent new generation of commanders in short order, and several returning hands bringing their experience back to the fold. We've also made a number of structural reforms pursuant to the Arctic Forge initiative, including a new org structure, a new Discord server layout, and new flags and theming.
However, many more of those reforms remain unconsolidated. Our landmark bill to overhaul our military laws is on the forum, though not yet motioned, our updated Delegate's Directive codifying the org's new structure is virtually finished but not yet posted, and we have not yet trained up our new roster of leads. In this term, we will finish executing on those efforts. We will also launch our new civilian militia (the Northern Guard) and an executive recruitment-focused division. On the administrative side of things, we will leverage our bolstered manpower to ensure that operations continue to happen actively, applications are processed in a timely fashion, and the efforts and activities of our members are promoted both within TNP and the wider game.
From the Ministry of World Assembly Affairs
Activity in WA Affairs is strong. Thanks to the IFV thread reform, the Ministry has been able to plan ahead and produce IFVs in advance so that they can be published and telegrammed when a proposal comes to vote. Based on data gathered by Kaschovia, last term the Ministry produced 46 IFVs by 12 staffers, with Islandwalk being our top writer (16 out of 41 IFVs written). IFV production this term has similarly gone smoothly without missing a beat. The Guaranteed Sponsorship program has received a new wave of applications following the GA reset, and so far, one proposal (the slavery ban) has been passed, while several more are being worked on. A dispatch explaining GA compliance has been written and published on our regional nation, TNL. Lastly, despite the Secretariat election arriving sooner than expected, WA Affairs, together with the rest of the government, helped elect our Chief of Staff, Islandwalk, to the office of WA Secretariat, increasing TNP's reach and influence in the WA.
From the Ministry of Integration
Integration has delivered amazing results this term, whether related to recruitment, cards, or any other ministry function. Newer talents have been showing up in the ministry and are being crafted to be a future face of the ministry's leadership. Talking about recruitment, the team has delivered more than 65,000 telegrams in this short span of three months, which has broken all previous term records set by the recruitment team. The recruitment rewards program, which has been gifting cards and collectables for the effort, has turned out to be a success. The Monthly Card Collection Contest is happening on time and bringing up participation, further enhancing the revival of the Cards Guild. The Resource Review program has a new system, which has been making sure that the process is handled systematically and is set to be in full swing in the upcoming term. Last but not least, the Gameside Advocates and the Frontliners have been doing their job pretty well, which has been producing wonderful results in terms of advertising as well as maintaining decorum in the RMB.
From the Ministry of Culture
Culture has done excellent work this term. We’ve had major events like TNPCamp2026, where we hosted games like Secret Hitler, Chess, Putt Party and more. The staff has been busy at work hosting movie nights and other smaller events. We’ve been able to promote a VC culture more than before by regularly joining the Agora or Plaza voice channels for casual chats. The Awards Committee has begun preparing the Lennarts for later on in the term, and the Minister of Culture will be hosting Delegate Delirium during Delegate’s Day in September. All in all, the Ministry of Culture is going strong as per usual. We’re looking forward to the next term and what it will bring us.
From the Ministry of Communications
The Ministry of Communications had been, at the beginning of last term, adrift. However, I am glad to say that my staffers and I have been able to right the ship - the Ministry is now on a stable footing. I am the bearer of even better news: we have been knocking it out of the park with our publications - TNS, TNN, etc. - so rest assured that this term will be even better. We are now undergoing a massive revival of the Ministry, with a whole array of ambitious projects we plan on undertaking this term. For starters, NBS, TNP's flagship radio show, is rising from the grave to once again fill the airwaves with the sweet sound of its voice. We plan on starting a new, weekly segment to detail the activities of TNP's government. In addition, we also plan on adding other segments/shows into the mix to spice it up. In the coming months, you may see a town hall debate, interviews with both foreign and domestic leaders, and much more. We are also wrangling the beast that is disorganisation. The Ministry is currently in the process of changing how things work around here (for the better, of course). Namely, our efforts have borne fruit in the form of a publication schedule. This publication schedule will be readily available to TNP'ers far and wide, curious as to what's next on the Ministry's chopping block.
TNS is also receiving a comprehensive overhaul. Not only have we added new features to it (such as the Crossword or the Movie and Song review), we are currently investigating the feasibility of venturing into investigative journalism - that is, shining the spotlight on perspectives on issues not usually seen - as well as collaborating with communications-adjacent ministries to produce content that will pique your interest. All in all, I am ecstatic to see how this term plays out. A cavalcade of ambitious and capable people has joined our Ministry; ergo, I know this term will be AMAZING!
Opening the new term
Over the course of my Delegacy, I’ve had the great honour of employing talented members of our region as members of my cabinet. The majority of my cabinet are first-time ministers as well because I’ve made my single most important goal as Delegate to be lifting up aspiring talent and giving the new guy a shot when others doubted them. That is the North Pacifican Dream. It’s not a vague concept; it’s the core that this region is built on. The region of second chances, the region where anyone can make it, no matter where they come from or what their past might be. I hope this paragraph can serve as a call to those who may feel uninspired or scared to take that leap of faith and make themselves known to the regional leadership. We notice when you make an effort or go the extra mile. Not only is it deeply appreciated, but it’s also taken into consideration when making decisions regarding regional leadership in the future.
Without further ado, I proudly present to you the Executive Council and other government officials of The North Pacific. They will be instrumental in executing our vision for the future of the North.
Chief of Staff - @Voopmont
Voop is a more recent addition to the government, and what an addition he is. He’s competently served as my Minister of World Assembly Affairs and, since the last cabinet shuffle, Chief of Staff. He has been incredibly important in executing our plans in the World Assembly, even winning a seat on the WA Secretariat just a few weeks ago. I have no doubt that his assistance in both the internal and external functions of TNP will yield great results.
Minister of Foreign Affairs - @Kaschovia
Kasch has served as an excellent advisor for some time now, and in his role as Foreign Minister, he has helped me guide the region’s foreign policy in the right direction. I look forward to working with him on our new identity and ideology, and I’m certain that this term will be even more productive on the FA front than the last two have been.
Minister of Military Affairs - @Cretox
Military Affairs is a tricky ministry; the NPA is a tricky community. That is why I am once again reappointing Cretox to lead the North’s army to victory. We’ve already seen what he can do in this area, and I look forward to seeing what more he’ll bring us. Not only has he been effective in military gameplay, but he has also greatly assisted in the advancement of TNP’s interests in the World Assembly. He’ll be a great asset to this government this term, and I know he’ll do a fantastic job.
Minister of World Assembly Affairs - @Picairn
Picairn made his grand return not so long ago, and what a return it was. He has effectively strengthened our WAA ministry and is continuing the great work that we provide to the world through our voting recommendations. He has also diligently executed my agenda when it comes to democratic participation through forum votes, while at the same time understanding when foreign policy takes the lead. He understands that balance like no other, and I’m sure we’ll be seeing great things from him both in this term and in the future.
Minister of Integration - @Treekidistan
Integration is all about consistency. The plans for a ministry like this are always vague and hard to execute, but I’ve been very impressed by Treek’s ability to grab the idea and turn it into something concrete. The work that the Frontliners have been doing is more than noticeable, and his management of manual recruitment and resource review is truly commendable. He continues to innovate in the Cards Revival Committee, and his passion for this ministry cannot be put into question. He’ll be doing great work this term, and I look forward to working with him on that.
Minister of Culture - @Arty
Everything is culture, and Arty has an excellent vision for it. He has made sure that our cultural agenda gets executed thoroughly and consistently. Under his leadership, we’ve seen both small-time events and large, multi-week bangers. We’ve got a lot of juice for this term with multiple large events and celebration days coming up, and I know that we’ll have a great time with Arty at the helm of this fantastic ministry.
Minister of Communications - @tobagotomatoes
Comms is near and dear to my heart. It’s where I started my career in cabinet after all. I cannot imagine a better person to carry on that vision that we had all those years ago, when this ministry was reintroduced, than Isenoka. His creative thought and beautiful style of writing captivate the entire world. With our new focus on NBS content, I know that he’s not going to sit still for a minute and will consistently be creating opportunities for a broadcast hosting a wide array of panellists and topics. This will be awesome for Comms, and I’m looking forward to seeing it come to fruition.
For my single non-cabinet official, I am once again reappointing @Marcus Antonius as Lead Gameside Advocate. This team of people under his management has excelled in moderating our RMB and properly introducing new players to real North Pacifican culture, rum included. The work done by him and his diligent team already has a great impact on our gameside community, and I’m so glad that this government once again has such great representation on that stage.
Government officials, you've already taken your oaths, so thank you for that.
The North Pacific is in a league of its own. With this excellent team and the entire region backing my agenda, I am confident that this term will mark yet another great chapter in our history. We’ve created opportunities wherever we go, and under my leadership, we have moulded the executive branch into a self-functioning machine that churns out content and productivity. To those who plan to stand in our way, I tell you one thing: get off the tracks while you still can because the TNP hype train does not have brakes. We will crush our opposition, and we will reclaim our rightful place in the GP hierarchy as we’ve done before.
The North rises again. Winter is coming.
