Opening Address - July 2026
Hello all,
Firstly, I'd like to congratulate @Halsoni, @Voopmont, and @Ayuzh on their respective victories in the General Election. I look forward to seeing what great work you all do over the next four months.
Despite having already served in the role for a few weeks now, I am honoured and delighted to have been re-appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs for the upcoming term. I am also very excited to work alongside the assembled cabinet this term. Naturally, this role is not one I take on lightly or underestimate in terms of its importance, and I hope to bring the same level of optimism, innovation, and energy to this office that I've tried to bring to all of my past appointments. My vision for this ministry is aligned with that of the Delegate and I sincerely hope to make all of the outlined policy items a reality. It is also one of cohesion, focus, and ambition, where anyone can make an impact and contribute to the mission. The work to realise that vision starts now.
Without any further ado, @Picairn is appointed as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. I've decided not to do a roll call because I'd prefer to reach out to you all and gauge your interest in being a part of the Ministry personally.
If you're a member of the Foreign Affairs staff, you'll have likely been contacted by me already regarding activity and diplomatic assignments. If you haven't been contacted yet, expect to be within the next 48 hours. This is just so that I can see how things are going and assess where everyone should be assigned. You will likely be asked to do at least one initial diplomatic research task. These will be handed out in between distributions to aid activity and improve the base of knowledge shared within the Ministry. They are your opportunity not only to go out into NationStates and do your own Foreign Affairs research, but also to prove yourself within the Ministry and potentially be considered for the Foreign Affairs Committee down the line.
Feel free to message me at any point with any concerns, questions, ideas... anything. It is once again time to begin the wonderful work we do to the benefit of our great region, The North Pacific.
Here's to the four months ahead!
Minister of Foreign Affairs,
Kaschovia
