Hey there! I'm Chipoli, and I'm running to be your next Justice!

I want to briefly apologize for the late posting of the campaign - this election comes smack in the middle of exam season for me, and I have been putting a significant amount of my time and energy towards preparing for them.

Although I am running for Justice for the very first time, I believe I am more than qualified. I have served this region numerous times, in all branches of the government. I have served as Delegate, Vice Delegate, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Minister of World Assembly Affairs, among other roles. For the past 3 weeks, I have been a member of the Court as I was appointed as a Temporary Hearing Officer (THO). Since that time, I have contributed to one court ruling, On Counting Forum Posts - we have many more coming in the near future!

Aside from my experience as a THO - I have also served as a Deputy Speaker and as an Election Commissioner. Both roles require extensive knowledge of regional law - or at least, parts of it, and serving in these roles, in the course of my TNP career, has enabled me to gain a significant understanding of our Legal Code and Constitution. I am not only able to understand our regional law, but also analyze and apply it, having already done so on the court and in my various legal roles in TNP. as I mentioned earlier. Having already participated in past and future legal decisions makes me more than ready to continue serving on the Court in a formal capacity.

I am genuinely excited about the opportunity to serve on our Court full-time, and these past three weeks have been refreshing and insightful to me, and I would love to get a full-term so we can continue the great work this court is doing.

I am open to any questions you all may have for me, and I'd be happy to answer them!

Is it your belief that our laws do not apply to areas which have been deemed "nongovernmental" by their creators, whomever that creator might be, but are being using for IC purposes?

Why or why not?

Generally, our IC laws should apply to areas that are being used for IC purposes, but we cannot apply a uniform standard to every area that may or may not be used by the government - the answer in a nutshell is really that it depends, we would have to analyze each case individually. That said, private areas of the forum with no meaningful governmental or IC connection should generally remain outside the government's jurisdiction.

Including areas which probably are being used for government purposes but their creators super insist aren't? What would you consider the burden of proof for what is or is not within the laws purview?

It would be hard to say unless we knew for sure.

Any areas that are being used for the purposes of government functions.
