[4:16 PM]Pallaith: Welcome @Dali and @Court I’ve started the necessary business: https://forum.thenorthpacific.org/topic/9198842/
[4:24 PM]Dali: o/
November 23, 2024
[1:54 AM]Pallaith: @WAAGH Time! Vivanco the bar commission has to formally appoint the court examiner we are technically without one
[8:27 AM]WAAGH Time! Vivanco: We're aware. I tried to reach to Tlomz and we recieved no answer. We're looking at other posibilities.
[8:35 AM]WAAGH Time! Vivanco: We've just gotten answer!
[1:33 PM]Pallaith: Cool let me know when it’s decided so I can make the announcement
November 28, 2024
[1:49 PM]Pallaith: @Court oh look, I have a draft opinion https://forum.thenorthpacific.org/topic/9198790/post-10710714
[2:01 PM]Dali: Sweet, I’ll take a look after work
November 29, 2024
[2:19 AM]Pallaith: @WAAGH Time! Vivanco eager to hear your thoughts on the draft opinion. Dali had a few questions about the prior decisions we considered for this review, and the concept of extralegal moderation, but ultimately agreed with the conclusions of the opinion and the outcome. We also agreed the better approach was to provide guidance for reporting bans but not establish a strict new process. There’s some areas where language can possibly be tightened up, but overall it’s solid
[2:46 AM]Dali: Can confirm the above
November 30, 2024
[2:05 PM]Pallaith: @WAAGH Time! Vivanco revisions made per your suggestion, revisit the last part of the decision and if it still reads acceptably, I’ll publish
[2:05 PM]WAAGH Time! Vivanco: I've already agreed in forums ;3
[2:06 PM]Pallaith: Oh snap, thanks!
[2:06 PM]Pallaith: I’ll get cracking

[5:39 PM]WAAGH Time! Vivanco: Here's an idea of what we can do with the Clerks; From an archivistical sense, perhaps they could work on making a Topic-related organisation of TNP's Court rulings.
[5:39 PM]WAAGH Time! Vivanco: While we do have the title and summary of them, perhaps we could work with for example having it sorted by points of interest regarding the BOR / Constitution Articles, so instead of sorting through the chronological interest, we can sort through the articles of interest.
[5:40 PM]WAAGH Time! Vivanco: @Court Thoughts?
[5:50 PM]Pallaith: Well it gives them something to do and forces them to study the caselaw so I can’t say it’s a terrible idea
[7:58 PM]Dali: Putting folks to work is always a good idea
[8:11 PM]Pallaith: @WAAGH Time! Vivanco I encourage this, gives you a chance to wake up the clerks and steer it a bit

[6:08 PM]WAAGH Time! Vivanco: Heard! Tomorrow I'll get them On moving
January 12, 2025
[5:24 PM]Pallaith: Well @Court it looks like I will be leaving again for the same job that caused me to leave the Court the last time it happened! Hopefully it’s smooth sailing the rest of the term, I trust you and whoever the new Justice is will have everything covered. Wonderful working with you both, good luck!
January 13, 2025
[7:35 PM]Pallaith: Since I’m still here I wanted to bring to your attention: the bar commission actually had a vacancy since Zyvet’s term expired almost a month ago, and it’s about to have another vacancy in four days when the justice appointment expires
[7:35 PM]Pallaith: @Court
January 14, 2025
[9:58 AM]WAAGH Time! Vivanco: Blimey! Well that's gotta get sorted out.
January 27, 2025
[9:14 AM]WAAGH Time! Vivanco: Welcome back to the bench, @Kim Philby . We've got a few things to sort out!
@Court First things first, we need another Chief Justice. I propose myself, since I'm the current Justice that has served for more terms, if everyone is in agreement.
[9:14 AM]WAAGH Time! Vivanco: Next thing in order will be the Bar Commission's vacancies.
[9:54 AM]Kim Philby: Seniority is as good a principle as any. I'd be fine with you as CJ.

We have 2 vacancies for the bar commission... Would Nutmeg be a possible choice for the RA confirmed position? It can look a bit like a consolation prize despite losing the election but they're a fine addition to the TNP legal sphere and I would want to keep them engaged.

January 29, 2025
[10:37 AM]Kim Philby: @Dali ? Have you seen Vivanco's and my posts?
[10:44 AM]Dali: Hey sorry, been swamped. I’m good with Vivanco being CJ
[3:19 PM]Kim Philby: @WAAGH Time! Vivanco will you announce your new title?

On topic of the Bar Commission I will repeat my suggestion of Nutmeg. It's up to RA confirmation so someone who's got some name recognition and experience in the TNP legal sphere is the best choice.

[4:10 PM]WAAGH Time! Vivanco: Firstly, I will post the discussions in the Forum, tomorrow (it is 1 AM here).

There I will copy the discussions held here regarding CJ, and open the Bar Commission wing.
