I love how we have overrunned the forums.
I think there's some kind of social theory or something about this. lol, that basically people in a community will always flock to alternative spaces extremely quickly (to keep their community together) or something like that there's, something more to it, but I can't remember. I mean, this was already organized, but we never saw a lot of traffic here.

Maybe the Nationstates was the friends we made along the way.

The concept of homophily is near enough to this idea, people in society tend to aggregate with other (similar) individuals. It naturally follows that homophilic groups will stick together and, in the event of disruption, migrate to other platforms together. This is why a few social media dominate while the rest can't compete: large networks of similar people have to collectively decide to leave, and very rarely are individuals within these groups willing to break off lest a compelling reason presents itself.
