New Bacalao and the Aurora Islands Diplomatic Missions

New Bacalao is a liberal, democratic Nation in the North Pacific, that supports other Nations who have the same values. Civil Rights and Political Freedom are key to the New Bacalao and the Aurora Islandsian Identity. New Bacalao and the Aurora Islands has strong security forces, conscription and nuclear weapons in order to protect the interests of its peoples.

This form is for application for your Nation to open a Diplomatic Mission in New Bacalao and the Aurora Islands. Applications are accepted from WA Member-States in the North Pacific.

Request Conditions

Applications for a mission not fulfilling these conditions will be rejected.
Applicant nations must not have commited or permit slavery, genocide, forced labour, or other crimes against humanity.

Applications must be in legible English.
Applications must be made by humans (not robots).

Nations with actual population over 200 endorsements may apply for an Embassy.
Nations with actual population over 150 endorsements and no Embassy may apply for a Consulate-General.
Nations with actual population over 85 endorsements and an Embassy or Consulate-General may apply for a Consulate in a non-capital major city.
Nations with actual population over 20 endorsements may apply for a Legation.

Diplomatic Mission Restrictions

A maximum of 100 staff per mission is permitted. A maximum of 30 security personnel are allowed, however may not leave the Mission on security duties. Exterior security will be provided by New Bacalao and the Aurora Islands Police. All staff may be subject to a background check, at the discretion of the New Bacalao and the Aurora Islands Government.

Five vehicles are permitted per mission. No vehicles capable of travelling in the air shall be permitted. Vehicles may be armoured, but not armed.

No automatic or semi-automatic weapons may be permitted under any circumstances. A maximum of twenty firearms may be permitted per mission, and may not leave the mission. All weapons must be declared upon entry, and all users must have an appropriate licence, issued by the New Bacalao and the Aurora Islands Government.

Some restrictions may be waived in special circumstances.

Diplomatic Immunity Policy

All Diplomatic Missions shall be legal territory of their sending Nation, however if appropriate notice is given to the sending country, a High Court gives Warrant, and a Minister of State has given approval, the territory of the Mission may be breached. All diplomatic staff not under arrest (following guidlines given below) shall be given safe passage to the sending country unconditionally.

Heads of Missions, Career Consular Officers, and Members of Embassy Technical or Administrative Staff shall be granted full diplomatic immunity (with the exception of guidlines issued above, for violation of which shall result in a fair trial in a New Bacalao and the Aurora Islandsian Court), however will be declared persona non grata if violation of New Bacalao and Aurora Islandsian Law is suspected.

Members of Embassy Service Staff, Security Staff and Consular Staff may be detained, arrested and given a fair trial in a New Bacalao and the Aurora Islandsian Court under New Bacalao and Aurora Islandsian Law. Staff arrested shall have all the rights of any person under arrest. Staff found guilty of a crime may be fined or subject to any other punishment of New Bacalao and the Aurora Islandsian Law, except in cases of imprisonment less than one month, or fines, where the member of staff shall be declared persona non grata and deported. Staff who have completed their sentence of imprisonment shall be declared persona non grata and deported.
Any member of staff found to be involved in a plot to wage war on New Bacalao and the Aurora Islands may be imprisoned and will be tried by a military court. Any defence attache who has committed a crime will be tried in a military court.
