It was at Sunrise he got up every morning to go hunting. He wasn’t Exemplary at the job, Hayeden Burgenson wasn’t the person you typically went to when you needed something since he…well…had little to offer outside of those services, he was a ok swordsmen, a sub-par blacksmith and a decent sailor, and beyond his hunting and archery skill set he just wasn’t good enough at those other things for anyone in House Carlas to tell him to do something else.

House Carla definitely had things to say about him though…every time he brought back a bit less food than normal they raised a storm with his uncle, who brought upon him the loss of privileges such as hanging out with friends.

The Other Houses typically weren’t as strict as House Carla but gods be damned if there was he wouldn’t know what he’d do, House Carla decided everything for you. It wasn’t based on you, or your parents. It was simply what they thought about you, and for him he didn’t get any finer luxuries in life because of it. Granted, House Carla had a better overall life quality than most houses so he was probably living much better than, say, the average citizen in House Azerana or god forbid House Beserka, which only had nice ships to say for it and with probably the lowest quality of life. Flood was plentiful here in the south

“Oi, you gonna get out and bring us back food?” His Uncle said, he was of course referring to his brother who was much younger than he, young enough so that he was unable to hunt. He had the burden of being the only good hunter in the household, leading to him of course having to hunt nearly all day and driving him close to unhappiness, luckily he spent enough time with his friends…which did not include his uncle.

(Yes, I thought about my uncle in a negative way)

It took quite a bit of adjusting, The Western Hills were different from the other side of House Carla which consisted of the Great Plains of Zlyscza, and the city of Deramorsk which happened to be his hometown. He had a few memories of it, many of which were fond and happened to be his best memories, the great town had ringing bells and great festivals, everyone knew what was happening all the time there and the air smelled beautiful, he’d give everything (except his life) to move back there. Of course he couldn’t, his uncle knew some people higher up in House Carla that made sure he stayed there to hunt…he was certain the only reason his uncle even retrieved him from the houses of Choildrayen was because he wanted someone to hunt for him.

It didn’t really matter, by Horseback it would take several days to reach it, and he wouldn’t tolerate a trip like that, hunter or not he had his limits.

He wouldn’t dare say this outloud of course, House Carla would put him back in his place quickly if he spoke against it. It didn’t matter how rich the house was, the way it restricted people was barbaric and even the dwarven houses weren’t of this nature. It was of a form of oppression he had no word for yet despised at his core…

But he had nothing he could do of course about that, he was a lowly hunter in a lowly area against the highest order of authority, a fight he stood no chance in by terms of wit and strength was not for him, but for some true hero he had no right to compare himself too.

He walked through the hunting trail that led out from his house and the village, he made sure to make sure his bow didn’t get caught in the dense brush that surrounded the trail and kept to the center before heading into the wilderness to catch good prey.

A Hawk soared above him and for a moment he contemplated taking a shot at it, but it was too far out of the range of his bow to be able to guarantee that he would even come close to landing a hit and if he didn’t hit, what goes up typically comes down…

As he stalked further through the forests and the Sun Crested the Hills of Moresth fully, letting sunbeams rain further upon his homeland. It took a surprisingly long time for him to even notice prey.

Today was not a good day for hunting.

After several long moments he spotted a Deer wandering nearby, he quickly brought out his bow and adjusted his hand, preparing to strike it down-

When the sound of footsteps came upon him, the deer fled into the trees instantly making him lose the catch and causing the rapid buildup of anger within him that made him come close to raging. He typically didn’t have anger issues but sometimes he just got very mad for very good reasons.

(Hopefully people understood that)

He wanted to go out there and confront the person (or Persons) that had denied him this fine catch, but he decided against it as curiosity befell him. The only people living near this particular trail were him and his Housekin, none of his housekin had the hunting skill to engage in the art of the hunt and the other people living in the town were probably several Kilometers away and had access to their own hunting trails…

He Hid behind a tree, the sun now filtered through the leaves as clouds drifted above, he listened as the footsteps approached.

Then a Hand Befell his shoulder and he gazed into the eyes of the Unknown Individual who had robbed him of his catch.

“Mr Burgenson, you're coming with me.”

OOC:If you're reading this then you probably read roughly 950 words before this sentence. A Rather small amount compared to my previous works on Strangereal but I had no Need to elongate this as this was a simple introduction to the main character of this new rp series of mine on Sorras.

This will not just be a rp series, in Each Post I will include Terms in Ventralis and Words made up that have deep lore connections with the country found nowhere else. At the End of Each Post I will put lore explanations of these terms to worldbuild them further for those who enjoy learning about Ventralis.

Without Further Adieu let us begin.

HOUSE CARLA - The ‘Dominant’ House of Ventralis residing in Vernstowl, the capital of Ventralis and containing the most amount of Land. They Excel in Negotiations and Horsemanship with war Tactics that cause them to be feared throughout the land. They have a Strict Caste-Like System that is nearly impossible to escape.

HOUSE BESERKA - One of the Poorest Houses in Ventralis, Beserka resides in the Northern Land of Ventralis and often gets mocked for their poor status and unregarded in foreign affairs. In Reality House Beserka has a strong seafaring tradition as it resides solely on the Isles of Ventralis which contains the mystical Vostland and Dragons, and has a Potential wealth of Resources no one has dared tapped into in Generations, should those dangers be overcome then Beserka could rise to its slumber to become the next Jewel of Ventralis.

DWARVEN HOUSES - Residing in the More Mountainous Regions of Ventralis, Dwarves live in Large abandoned caves with Natural existing River systems, in order to overcome natural challenges amazing aqueduct like systems were constructed to carry dirty water out, this has created problems for those living in House Azerana.

HOUSE AZERANA - A Mostly Unregarded house in Ventralis, they are often known for having great Engineering building some of the tallest castles and amazing catapult and ballista contraptions, but yet have to deal with dirty Runoff in their rivers from the Dwarven Houses that causes tension between the 2 houses.

HOUSE KIN - A term referring to family members that reside in a Residence.
