THE ASCENDED KINGDOM OF NORANIA

I. Government structure

Norania is a decentralized interstellar state, ruled by the High King/Queen, the Board of Viceroys and the Scholar Council. Apart from consulting the monarch on various internal and foreign affairs, the viceroys also govern their sectors. The viceroys are appointed by the High King. The Scholar Council consists of Scholars — specialists from various subjects, who also manage the affairs in their given spheres — Economics, Education, Science, Welfare, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. The Board of Viceroys and the Scholar Council form the High Court — the High King’s consultative body, representing the legislative branch of government.

Apart from the High Court, there are also the police force and the Supreme Tribunal.

II. Armed forces structure

Due to Noranian Kingdom’s interstellar nature, the armed forces are represented by the Stellar Navy, with Astromarine Corps, serving as planetary invasion force. The Astromarines, due to Vulpines’ weakness and poor endurance, rely on their war machines, such as walking vehicles and hovercrafts

III. Demographics

Norania is inhabited by a race named Vulpines. Vulpines share resemblance with anthropomorphic foxes, the average height is about only 140-150 cm for males and 135-145 cm for females. Their fur is short, ranging from 13 mm on their heads, backs and limbs to 22 mm on their bellies and about 40 mm on their tails. Limbs and tail fur is darker, while belly and facial fur is usually white. The most common fur colors are orange, brown and light gray; white, dark gray and brown-furred specimens are rarer since the dark fur gene is reductive.

The Vulpines are generally weaker than humans, however, they are much more agile, and the intellectual capabilities are a little bit larger, if not the same.

The age of maturity is 9 Noranian years (14 Earth years), and average lifespan is 73 Noranian, or 110 Earth years, thanks to recent advances on genetic engineering and stem cell healthcare.
