St David's Day at Llangollen​

A lovely day at Llangollen railway celebrating St David’s Day. The Llangollen Silver Band playing Ar Hyd y Nos while our pannier tank 7754 (with St David Headboard) ran around to haul the 12:20 to Corwen – with the band aboard.

Midland Pullman goes on a non-stop route from Crewe to London Euston
Class 43 049 (Neville Hill)+43 058 (Loch Eil) to London Euston
Class 43 058 (Loch Eil)+43 049 (Neville Hill) going back to Crewe, both sets have 9 Midland Pullman carriages

1Z71 – Wrexham General to Euston with 57303 leading Eastern Rail Services WSMR (Wrexham, Shropshire and Midland Railway) branded coaches through Leighton Buzzard at 13:00 on 2nd March. Coaches branded WSMR with route diagram. 57306 ‘Branchline Society’ on the rear. The train returned with 57306 leading passing through Leighton Buzzard at 17:05.

1Z43 – Crewe HS to Euston ‘The Capital Flyer’ Blue Pullman passing through Cheddington at 12;25 on 4TH March with M43049 ‘Neville Hill’ leading Returned as 1Z44 with M43058 ‘Loch Eil’ leading into the curves at Old Linslade on time at 14:30.
