Statement of Clarification with regards to The South Pacific

Greetings,

In January of 2021, in the course of undertaking operations to prevent a pro-fascist World Assembly resolution, a diplomatic incident developed between the two members of the Aurora Alliance, The North Pacific and The South Pacific. During this time, TNP released a statement that some, especially in TSP, felt was unclear. That statement is available here.

Following a re-engagement with The South Pacific after previous talks broke up without a resolution, The North Pacific has agreed to release a firm and final statement clarifying a position that at the time we had thought was evident, but we accept now that some misunderstood our statement. The North Pacific does not consider The South Pacific to be a region that sanctions, condones or endorses fascism, in any way. We also acknowledge The South Pacific’s contributions to the anti-fascist fight throughout the years, and their commitment to the anti-fascist cause.

Furthermore, The North Pacific and The South Pacific have agreed to a new procedure for if either region is to engage in quorum raiding activities going forward. This is not a treaty, but rather, a gentlemen’s agreement on the part of each member to engage this protocol going forward. This protocol will be revealed to our citizens privately. We hope that this protocol will clear up any further issues.

The North Pacific would also like to further reiterate our earlier apology to the League of Radiance, a region that was mistakenly targeted in the third round of quorum raiding against the resolution, after the League of Radiance was mistakenly left on the list of targets, despite not re-approving the resolution. In addition, The North Pacific further reiterates its apology to the Renegade Islands Alliance - as well as to our mutual ally, The Rejected Realms - for not making further attempts to contact RIA to get them to remove their approval.

Following the talks that led to this agreement, the governments of both The North Pacific and The South Pacific consider this matter closed, and both parties are now ready to move forward together into many more years of cooperation.

Signed,

Robespierre (Francois Isidore)
Delegate of The North Pacific

St George (Madjack)
