May 2021 Transition Tracker​


In the interest of transparency and public engagement, this thread will publicly document actions taken by myself, Delegate @Robespierre, and the SC during this Delegacy transition. Feel free to ask any questions and voice any concerns regarding the transition in this thread, or leave a note in the Vice Delegate's desk. Note that dates marked with [w] are weekly updates, and endorsement growth is based on each weekly update, not midweek ones.
 
11 May 2021: All Keepers of the North not endorsing Delegate Francois Isidore telegrammed with a request to do so.

15 May 2021: Alert dispatch + telegram sent asking nations to endorse Francois Isidore. Regionwide telegram sent asking nations to join the World Assembly.

The Delegacy transition has begun, with Francois Isidore's endorsement position (15) being just below the Security Council. Former Delegate McMasterdonia will remain in the ingame delegate seat until Francois Isidore's endorsement count surpasses the Vice Delegate's. SCers have been asked to cease sending endotarting telegrams until Francois Isidore's endorsement count passes theirs.

21 May 2021: Personal telegrams sent asking nations to endorse Francois Isidore and nations endorsing McMasterdonia but not Francois Isidore to endorse Francois Isidore, respectively.

24 May 2021: Alert dispatch + telegram sent for Francois Isidore (currently 929 endorsements).

Outgoing Delegate McMasterdonia's and the SC's endorsements continue to decay across the board as we regain some lost Keepers and see substantial gains for elected Delegate Francois Isidore. Progress thus far has been hindered by technical issues with The Northern Light and the region's scripted telegrams to new nations not being updated yet, but those haven't been major impediments. At this rate, it won't be long before Francois Isidore takes the ingame seat.

30 May 2021: TG sent from Francois Isidore asking nations endorsing McMasterdonia and not Francois Isidore to endorse Francois Isidore.

WA nation and Keeper numbers are relative to last week's. Endorsement numbers are relative to the beginning of the transition.

Francois Isidore is now beginning to pass the Security Council as we regain more Keepers. Regrettably, alert telegrams from TNL still aren't functioning, so I've been sending them from my own nation (to reduced effectiveness). We've also gone two weeks without our scripted TGs being updated, meaning that all new TNP nations were being instructed to endorse McMasterdonia instead of Francois Isidore. Fortunately, the latter issue has been rectified. I'd like to extend a huge thank you to @Siwale for swiftly updating our scripted telegrams only hours after finding out that he's also able to do so. With our telegrams finally updated, a major factor holding back Francois Isidore's endorsement growth has been corrected. The transition shouldn't drag on for too much longer, especially with Francois Isidore now beginning to exceed Security Council nations. A side effect of the telegrams being updated is that McMasterdonia's endorsement count will be deteriorating faster from here on out. This is something we're keeping an eye on.
