Security Council Resolution #263 “Liberate Confederation of Corrupt Dictators” shall be struck out and rendered null and void.

The Security Council,

Acknowledging the goal of Security Council Resolution #263 to put the target region on notice for their wrongdoing and to provide a safety net for the chance to overthrow the region if the founder were ever to cease to exist,

Realizing, however, that no military operation against the region has been attempted in the 26 months since the passing of the original liberation,

Aware that even if the target region were to someday become a viable raid target via the founder ceasing to exist, it would still require an impossibly large military operation stretching over weeks or months to take down due to the multiple entrenched high-influence regional officers,

Noting that between this region and the three other regions with founders that were liberated in 2018, not a single one of the resolutions achieved its goals,

Pointing out that the goal of SC #263 to provide a "warning" to the target region has largely failed, as the region's leadership mostly treats the resolution as a badge of honour for their doings,

Cognizant that the liberation has not served as any sort of warning or deterrent to recruitment for the targeted resolution, as their nation count has been in a steady state for months on end,

Annoyed that no less than six separate attempts have been made by residents of the target region themselves to repeal the liberation, which all are extremely misleading to paint themselves in a better light,

Wishing to take away the target region's ability to utilize their false statements through repeal attempts of this proposal by passing one that doesn't give them the attention or ability to use false arguments to sway voters to their side,

Hereby repeals SC #263.

Against. This resolution is incredibly misrepresenting of the situation and has multiple factual errors. I will further remind all TNPers that the CCD attempted (and miserably failed) to coup our region not even a year ago. Regardless of whether the liberation should be repealed or not, this is not the resolution for it.

This clause gives the impression that a military operation should have been attempted since the liberation passed. Such an operation would be useless and it is (and was not at all) intended for a military operation to be conducted in the region while the founder still existed.

This clause is essentially saying that destroying the region would be too difficult and we should all go home. This misrepresents what would happen if the founder no longer existed. Previously, the single largest updating force in one update has been around 90 updaters. The native Delegate in the region currently has 125 endorsements. While 35 endorsements is a sizable gap, given that the invading forces would be able to siege the region by establishing a beachead, individuals not able to make one update would be able to attempt to beach the region in subsequent updates, making closing the gap easier. Furthermore, the region is more vulnerable to infiltration, those in power would have to be distrustful of new members as they could potentially be seeking to destroy the region (and there most certainly would be spies in the region seeking that goal) and would have to have stricter policies regarding endorsement levels and border control. Over time, we would see the population of the region shrink even more with its vulnerability making it easier to take the region.

Conveniently enough, the resolution does not state what the goals of the resolutions were. One of the goals is to make sure that in the event of the founder CTEing/being DEATed, the region is vulnerable. It is quite safe to say that that goal has been accomplished.

If this resolution is treated as a badge of honour by the region's leadership, why is the founder attempting to repeal the liberation?

This is false. Like literally false. I shouldn't even have to explain it. Just click on this to see how their nation count has been on a downward trend for months now. While this may not be due to the liberation, it is clear that their population is decreasing.

None of these attempts were anywhere close to passing so this is just fearmongering given how unrealistic that it likely for an author from the CCD to be able to repeal the liberation.
 
The argument of "it doesn't work, so we should just repeal it" isn't a strong enough reason to repeal the Liberation. Against.
