Six nations, Many cultures, One identity.

It is well known that there are Six nations that form the confederacy of ilirja.
But looking at the culture differences in a relatively small areas, for example the The island of Ederi. one can only wonder What keeps this nations together.

Dicassa is in culturally closer to the Cassal coast and a Dadra language oasis: paradoxically is's a stronghold of Eir independence movement

Issi is a city prideful of it's ancient tradition and is the city of most registered long blades (over 10 cm) per capita

Ivar is culturally close to Issi but without the blade carrying tradition and is a linguistic oasis of the resurrected Eir language with over 40% of people choosing to speak it even if they haven't achieved full fluency.
Ivar is also more maritime orientated city being the main fishing port of the Confederacy

Deraz is the second oldest urban center of Ilirja and as such has traditions and stories based in eras forgotten by history.
This is also a city with lest crimes per capita and most protests in the entire country clocking with 3,5 protests annually since the rise of the Confederacy.
This respect for the law and rebelliousness seem incompatible until you count in the factor of the Haye, a traditional paramilitary organization of the Eir people, now a branch of the Ilirjan military and the only armed forces allowed on the island of Ederi.
Throughout the entire reign of the former union, the Haye was in an open guerilla style war with the government always keeping the presence in the city.
And as a military organization the chain of command had to be respected and order upheld. The time of war might have passed but the law abiding, and yet rebellious nature of the city remained.

Caz Edir has a culture that is a combination of the Eir and Ovirs east shore culture.

The islands neighbor, Dandraia, can be split into four cultural zones.

The Capital, Durmit is a very metropolitan place with people from all over the confederacy living there, leading to the mixing of cultures.

The Cassal coast is a Dadra language oasis and was, for the longest time the center of only urbanized area of the State.
Although on the Coast they never had a big maritime presence

The rest of the coastline is dotted with small fishing villages and town while the inland of the State is dotted with samll "Hillfolk" settlements that rely on agriculture and, to varying extent, manufacture.

Ovirs is the largest and the most diverse of the States.
Containing three separate Ovirs language oiasis that all have very different culture.

The North oasis has a culture close to the Cassal coast but with bigger maritime presence, while the Southern one is more similar to the Ist culture.

The midlands Ovirs language oasis has traditions unlike the other two having unique music, cosine and dialect.
Also worth noting is that this was the last place Ovirs was spoken before going extinct. And some of the older generations, although they didn't understand the language, remembered certain phrases and thus helped in the revival process of the language and the local dialect.
People here are known as the most honest people of Ilirja.

The East coast has a strong maritime Culture (a leftover of the old Eir population that assimilated) as well as a noticeable alcohol production culture (So does the afore mentioned Caz Edir). The younger generation refer to this region as "The barrel".
The inland forms a constant cultural bridge between Inland Dadrania and Histria

Histria is considered the Rowdiest, loudest and most unruly part of the Confederacy. The cost having a strong maritime culture while the inland is more rural but also industrial.
The people of this state are known for their entrepreneurship.

This is also the State with most brawls and petty crimes in general and Faveria holds the unflattering title as the Capital of the underworld, that being the main reason Mirkaas was named the state capital

Lastovo is the oddball of the Confederacy and is considered the calmest, most modest and best organized People in the Confederacy.
These traits were however necessary considering that although much smaller than Dadrania, Lastovo has nearly the same amount of inhabitants but only 3 settlements with over 20 000 residents. Although there are several towns with population over 10 000, qualifying them to apply for the urban status, they decline becasue it would hurt their current tourism and agricultural sectors ( the infrastructure requirements would "kill the charm")

Next place we will to talk about is the Island of Albo, mostly known for agriculture

First of all the people of Fior river valley Including the Cities of Roya and Albona are known as the party region with over 200 small town/village and 4 major festive events. the two cities only take part at the 4 major events
This area, including the stretch down to the city of Civole is considered the granary of Ilirja producing about the quarter of the nations grains

Somewhat smaller production of grains can be found along the Sarmatus River valley that accounts to around 15% of the nations grain productions.
The midlands, excluding the capital, are fairly sparely populated and the locals mostly live of Tourism, self sustaining agriculture and manufacture. This area is known as "The winter resort of the Nation."

Although the Northern part of the island doesn't have any major cities (biggest town having less than 4500 people living there), This area is well known for Meat production, providing the highest quality meat products of the country.

The east coast of Albona Is known for two things
Sulla being the murder capital with most murders per capita and Caz being the home of one of two international airports of the nation, Kess(Ovire) being the home of the second one

lastly the metropolitan cities of Raguss and Nesactea

Ragussa is a combination of three cultures Coastline Ist, Midland Ovirs and Albo
Most people here simply declare as Iliri due to their mixed ethnicity

Similar thing occurs in Nesactea but Nesactea however Holds dearly to it's Albo roots.

One thing to keep this nation together is the name of ilirja.

Throughout the history Most people from these nations had no contact with the rest of the world and be it trough war or peace they have learned a lot about each other.

Counties have risen and fall, wars were won and lost, one thing that outlived them all were the people, people of the Ilirus archipelago.
And now the world has became bigger than ever and the peopel of the archipelago are more mixed than ever the name "Ilirja" has, more than ever before, become the beacon of unity for the people
