Chief Election Commissioner Elections

(with me administering due to Sil's current absence)
I wouldn't put it like that. It was just me deferring to you because of my previous absence.

That being said, I'm alright with coming back as CEC this time around. I've had a decent break, and if nobody else wants it, I'm good with doing it again.

The vote has since closed. At 5-0-1, Sil Dorsett is elected Chief Election Commissioner for the term ending on Tuesday February 19, 2026, or until the end of his tenure as Election Commissioner should he not be reappointed before that time, whichever comes first.

The current CEC term has ended. Actually ended long ago. Time for declarations of interest to serve as CEC for a four-month ter,. If you are interested in serving, please declare your intention in the next three days, and a vote will follow.

I volunteer to serve as CEC.

So, I didn't realize my term had not actually ended. Jinkies set the end date to February 19, not January 31st as I customarily do following the new year. That being said, still better take care of this early.
As nobody else applied within the three days I allocated (and the extra time I gave away), we'll proceed to a confirmation vote. Since it would be my own term, I'd like to put us back on a proper schedule and have the term end on May 31st. If it was anyone else, I'd give the full four months.

Please vote Aye, Nay, or Abstain on electing @Sil Dorsett as the Chief Election Commissioner for a term ending on May 31st, 2026. The vote will last for three days, or until all Election Commissioners have voted.
