Zusammenkommen

Tchaikovsky hobbled down the plane's steps, his crutches clattering against the railing. Upon setting foot on the foreign soil, he swung himself forward with a confidence that challenged any who saw the one legged man in his crisp military uniform to take pity on him, pity was for the weak and Tchaikovsky most certainly not that. The Cogorian representative had been a soldier in the Seventieth Pioneer Battalion before a landmine had made a career change necessary, he had climbed the Foreign ministry's ranks, driven by his pride and refusal to be seen as an invalide, the strength of his character if not obvious from a mere glance at the man himself was evident in the composure of his guards, who drew strength and pride from being close to a hero such as he.

Unfazed by the sight of the large dragon before them, he halted before her and snapped a salute. The translator by his side quickly passed on the dragon's greeting, a tumble of gruff words spilled from Tchaikovsky's mouth, the gutteral sounds colliding in a strangely musical way, the translator turned to their host and in his best approximation of a Darconian accent passed on the representatives response "Honoured host, we are humbled by your warm greeting, we hope that our stay here is educational and beneficial for both of our nations, and through this short cultural visit may a deeper long lasting friendship emerge"

The Nebulan vessel drew up into port. Arget and her aides stood at the bow, suitcases at their sides. In the Nebulan spirit of egalitarianism, each one carried their own luggage, no more.

The gangplank extended, and Arget walked briskly down it, pulling her rolling bag along behind her. She made her way down the dock carefully, finally reaching the end. She saw the dragons.

So it is true, she thought to herself.

(OOC: Goy, as you haven't included a point in your posts where I could interject and post my characters' reactions, I will be skipping your post for now.)

Landebert wiped his brow off with his handkerchief; by now, it was past noon, and the sun was beaming down quite strongly. While the strong sea breeze helped to keep him cool, the fact that he was worried he couldn't keep his cool only made him sweat more. It seemed he would now be greeting the Xentheridan monarchs. He wiped his brow again as he approached the Xentheridan ship.

He bowed low, the officials following him following suit, before rising up and stating, "Greetings, Your Majesties. Greetings, Minister Waters." He mimicked the dragons' greetings as he spoke, having been careful to both teach them the proper greetings and rehearse them himself. "I am Mayor Landebert Beckett Edric, representative of the city of Klarliert, Darcania. Welcome to Zusannenkonnen," he finished, slightly messing up the pronunciation of the last word as the officials around him pointedly stared out of the corners of their eyes at him.

Savas turned to the princess as she spoke. She would have to be sure to keep this one safe; as the Darcanian equivalent to a Minister of War, she was all too aware that the death of a foreign delegate, especially a Princess, on Darcanian soil would draw far too many eyes to Darcania. She smiled; "Of course, Princess," she said, "we all do what we must for our nations."

She turned to the Cogorian plane as the representative descended; she was quite surprised to see a grizzled war veteran. No, hero, considering the way the guards acted. Though Savas herself had seen her fair share of battles, she had become a war leader rather than a soldier too soon to be seen as a hero; instead, she was simply a daring tactician. She did have her fair share of scars, but these were minor compared to the many shrapnel wounds this man had.

She wondered shortly what was meant by the Cogorians by sending this man in particular; he didn't seem the type to send to a cultural celebration. She would also have to keep an eye on this one. "Yes, Representative," she stated, "that is our wish, as well."

She turned to her side, commanding one of the guard dragons in a different language. "We will escort you through your visit, Princess, Representative," she said as the guard she commanded moved into position behind them. She gave another command to the other guard, who quickly took flight. "If we may clear the runway, I'd be happy to either answer any questions about Darcania you may have, or lead you to a dragon who may answer your questions."

"Certainly, feel free to meet up with your entourage," Kultur stated. He stopped Köl before he could get too far, however, stating, "If you don't mind, though, I would like to escort you through the docks. We have a lot of dignitaries arriving, and the docks are very busy. If you could follow me, we have a path set aside for dragons such as us to use during these times." He shuffled around a bit and pointed at a large, freshly-repainted asphalt path. "It's right over there if you would rather meet them on your own, however."

"Truthfully, Bhudev," Asayis said as she left the Syrixian vessel, "I'm not the foremost expert on Darcania, either. Every cycle that I come here, my heart flutters in excitement like our little Aashiya here." She smiled brightly down at Aashiya and Bhudev as they made their way to Klarliert, each of them staring in wonder at the surrounding landscape. Though most wildlife avoided them, since two dragons were openly wandering around, there were plenty of insects flying around the lush forest they were in. Though the path they took was wide open for multiple dragons to pass through and obviously man- and dragon-made, those who created this path were very careful to preserve the natural beauty of the surrounding forest; the trees even arched over the top, creating a sun-dappled path before them. Though Asayis had been to Darcania a few times before, she had never followed this path; it was difficult to contain her wonder, but since Aashiya would undoubtedly show it for her, she felt she'd manage.

The three of them passed through a large wooden gateway and entered a large, cobblestone clearing. A fountain stood in the middle, with several of both benches and soft patches of grass laid about. Asayis was surprised to see a large dragon in one of these patches; indeed, she barely saw him due to how green he was. Upon seeing the dragons and humans, the green dragon stood up and approached, though Asayis prevented him from coming too close.

"Hello!" he stated, a bit too loudly and informally. Upon seeing a glare from Asayis, he backed off slightly and quieted down, though he continued with his enthusiastic conversation. "My name's Lind kul Verdant. Are you all here for Zusammenkommen?"

In response to a flat "Yes" from Asayis, he continued unabated. "Aevir brought me along to talk about the ancient history of Darcania, before..." he trailed off for a second with a saddened face before brightening up. "Well, in any case, I'm the foremost expert on it, even more than Kultur! I'd be happy to tell you more about Darcanian history any time you'd like!"

Sera smiled as her guards followed them, the jet being moved to a hanger nearby "Yes, but sometimes I feel he pushes himself too far." Then immediately changed tack "I must confess I had always believed dragons to be larger, unfortunately our only images of dragons were carved by the Etrebeans, I suppose they must have exaggerated a little. To be completely honest we were shocked there were still dragons in the world, we haven't seen any since the Age of Dragons ended 2000 years ago."

On board the private Concorde jet, A.H. Reul, were Bran and Lynette sitting towards the middle-back of the plane and their four personal security guards who were sitting towards the middle-front of the plane. Seeing as they were flying to a cultural celebration, the guards realized that security preparations were going to be lax compared to other events and as such all four were engrossed in the game of MiM, a dice game with a heavy emphasis on bluffing. Bran and Lynette were likewise wrapped up in their own conversation... Lynette looked over at Bran, "so dragons, huh... Most of the world believes them to be a myth or fairy tale." Bran was starting up at the ceiling of the plane and lost in thought but lazily replied, "well we in the Society know better than that considering the existence of the Aos Si, the Sluagh Sidhe and the Lord and Lady along with humanity." Lynette looked out the starboard window next to where she was sitting, "now, now... as much as the dragons of Darcania may be considered myth and legend to the majority of the world, so to are the Tuatha De Danann to those who eyes and mind have not been opened to the truth. Please try and behave while we are in Darcania and among the dragons, I do not feel up to a philosophical and religious debate while on this work vacation." Bran looked over at Lynette, "fine... at least the Darcanians gave us permission to practice Bata-Comhrac so that should keep me occupied enough to not get into a debate". Bran and Lynette continued their discussion on various topics while up in the cockpit, the pilot had noted they were closing in on the naval border of Darcania and radioed ahead, "Darcanian Air Traffic Control, this is flight Alpha Hotel Reul requesting permission to land."

That night, in the Luxus Hotel, Empress Annelise awoke in pain. She was already nine months pregnant and was getting contractions over the past few days. She told her spouse, "Take me back home, now." There was a Goyanean Airways Concorde jet waiting at the airport. They were rushed to the airport when they swiftly boarded the airliner and took of for Goyanes, leaving the foreign minister behind to attend the ceremony. They got back in two hours, and Prince Henry was born.

Prince Lukas had been on his flight for awhile. He had just gotten the news that his father had died, and felt guilt that he hadn't been there to say goodbye. He would never have the chance to say goodbye. He sunk down into his seat on the private Citation X+ jet, sighing. The only other people on the plane were the 10 Royal Guards that were coming as his escorts, and the pilots. He tried to be optimistic- He was going to Darcania, a place where, apparently, dragons lived. One of the pilots radioed to Darcanian Air Traffic Control as the plane grew ever closer to Darcania "Air Traffic Control, this is Sierra Echo 1 requesting permission to land."

That morning, the Foreign Minister descended down to the lobby of the Luxus Hotel. He greeted the front desk employee and asked where to find a Zus delegation. The employee pointed outside where there were several large dragons waiting.

He walked outside and was astonished, there was a huge, scaly dragon standing before him. He was honored, he had never seen a dragon in his life, and ever since he was a young boy, he had heard the legends of the dragons that were native to Darcania. A solitary tear rolled down his eye.

Aashiya stepped forward. "I would love to learn more about Darcanian history." she paused quick, to wave to Lind, before continuing, "My name is Aashiya Akbar kul Kyloth. I'm an Imperial Dragon of the Syrixian Empire!"

Bhudev and the other humans continued walking with Asayis, until they reached Klarliert itself.

(OOC: Quick post so we can write about Klarliert and the convo between Lind and Aashiya.)

Tchaikovsky nodded as his translator conveyed the dragons message, and was a bit disconcerted at how hard he found it to read the large creature. He had always prided himself on his ability to read people like a book but a dragon? He didn't even know where to begin, so instead he just followed and observed.

Several minutes later, Köl returned to Kultur with Tanzä and his entourage in tow; two more drakes, 15 feet long, with stronger looking wings and more muted colors than the brilliant hues displayed on Köl, and two Diplomatic Corps officers, both species silent and watching, though relaxed. Köl made an attempt at clearing his throat, instead producing a deep undulating purr, resulting in Tanzä silently laughing while Köl tried to play off the unusual sound as nothing.

Köl continued, "Unu Kultur, this is Tanzä, the human representative to Zusa...nenko...nen," Köl slightly raised his hackles at this foreign word, lacking the proper lips to pronounce the M's, before continuing, "He will advise me on matters that I am inexperienced in, notably that of foreign cultures and races. I would assume the hotel where we are to be hosted has a common meeting area for representatives? I would dearly appreciate the chance to learn of their names before the moot."

Special accommodations requested: a quiet location where I may enjoy the landscape of your country and may reflect without being disturbed. If transportation is provided, distance will not matter.
Your application is accepted; you may arrive at any time.

With regards to your request, we have a large cabin in the mountains surrounded by otherwise entirely natural forest. While dragons may fly overhead every so often, it is otherwise unperturbed by humans or dragons. If altitude sickness may be an issue, the cabin is roughly 500 meters above sea level, halfway to the summit of the mountain it is situated on. This will provide an excellent view of the surrounding landscape. We are, of course, happy to provide transportation for you. Please let us know if this would be sufficient.

As well, while your application is accepted, we would ask that you bring either your own security or allow us to provide security for you. Klarliert is, after all, a large city, and we would not wish anything untoward to happen while you are unsecured. If you wish us to provide you security, please let us know if you would prefer human guards or a mixture of human and dragon.

Regards,
Scian kul Kroning

David looked out the window and pretty much was in awe, the mountains green, brown, gray and white changing in color as if seasons were traveling in fast pace. "Isn't it marvelous?" He asked his translator.

She took a glance out the window, of the jet. "It is quite beautiful." she replied. "Didn't you bring a camera?"

"I didn't know I could. Camera wasn't on the list of items I could bring." He looked at her. She was looking at a Notepad, "Also, you need to lighten up. I chose you for a reason." David smiled.

The translator just smiled, "My Lord, I'd like to ask why didn't you chose Atticus? He is just as suited for this job as I am."

David looked out the window "This Delegation is important and me and Atticus ar-" He was cut off when he heard the pilot of the jet start talking.

"Darcania Airspace, this is Selvarian Royal Jet, Call Sign Phoenix, we are one mile from your airspace and two miles from your location. Is your airspace clear and will we be able to land once we reach your airspace?" The pilot and everyone else aboard waited for a response.
