Military Arms Needed In Demescia

TNP Nation
Demescia
Ah! Good day, neighbors of the North Pacific. Demescia is in need of arm manufacturing for our law enforcement and troops, especially the Navy and Airforce.

[bgcolor=#fff]
Our Cause
[/bgcolor]
[bgcolor=#fff]
We Demesces, as a people, are usually very pacific in the affairs of the North Pacific. However, we face a new danger: patriotic terrorists from Domesua, our neighbor nation that departed from us on March 3rd, attacked our legislative hall last Wednesday in Combre and succeeded in murdering five officials and severely wounding a dozen.

While we don't believe that engaging in war with the Domsu republic isn't an option, it's in our best interest to verify the safety and stability of Demescia as a whole and every single person, citizen or not, within its borders (excluding the terrorists, of course). We, as a government, took note at the lack of arms for our law enforcement and decided to take action (on the behalf of the citizens).[/bgcolor]

Our Offer
[bgcolor=#fff]With our incredible information technology industry, as well as our scientific advancement and exceptionally knowledgeable residents, we have created a expansive variety of top-notch electronic equipment, including excellent spy equipment. We don't use it on our citizens because it would conflict civil rights, so we couldn't use it to control what happened June 1st. We're willing to give you some of our technology in return for your military arms.[/bgcolor]

Your Contribution
[bgcolor=#fff]All we ask for our contribution to your people, is to receive arms and technology to better prepare our people for catastrophes such as what happened on the first of June. Goods that would help include the following:
  • Cannons for our navy
  • Powerful, long-range weapons for our law enforcement in general (at the moment all they have is batons and tasers).
  • Missiles for our air-force, who (at the moment) can't even take down an enemy aircraft.

Kingdom Republic of Ceretis Department of Commerce:
Greetings to the people of Demescia,

Our condolences to your people for their loss in this time of turmoil and we extend best wishes for quick resolution and peace.

We seek to clarify some of your trade needs to better serve and assist your nation in protecting your people. We seek payment in conventional means be delivered in exchange for the equipment being requested especially for the types and quantities most likely being required by your people. It would be acceptable to provide a mixed payment consisting of conventional payment and technological exchange which could be discussed later if you so choose.

1) As you know, most navies these days operate using a combination of corvettes, destroyers, frigates, and cruisers. Many of these ships operate using 5 in/127 mm guns for their main battery. Often utilizing 57 mm guns on smaller craft such as corvettes and 76 mm on destroyers while reserving the 127 mm guns for frigates.
Are your people needing only naval guns or will this include an upgrade of all associated targeting and fire control systems? Furthermore are you requesting upgrades of other weapons systems? Alternatively, are you seeking instead to replace your current vessels with new fully equipped ships or possibly previous generation vessels with naval standard weaponry?

2) We can provide your people with a whole range of missiles for aircraft and ground vehicles. May we suggest purchasing shoulder fired weaponry as well for special defensive situations? Another point of interest may be the purchase of updated aircraft.

3) Will you be requiring equipment for your other armed forces as well?

4) "Powerful, long-range weapons for our law enforcement." Are your people requiring only long range weapons or a full range of short and long range weaponry? Will this include surveillance equipment? Also will your needs be only lethal weapons, only less than lethal, or a combination of both? Does this order include crowd control measures and protective measures such as bulletproof or stab proof vests?

Undersecretary of Trade

We send our condolences to your people, and hope that, for every Demesces's sake, that the situation is resolved with no more loss of life.

We have also become aware of your needs for updating your military and we seek to offer our bid. Not only can we sell you the necessary wares, we can also send our expert trainers to educate your Air Force how to properly use them to maximise effectiveness in operations of conflict.

Nevertheless, we are aware of your needs of air-to-air or air-to-surface missiles required for your air force. The arms industry in Xentherida is one of the wholly-government owned industries in Xentherida, under the trading name of Xentheridan Military Industries. We have a large variety, of which we are willing to manufacture and sell.

As a final notice, we trade internationally in NSD ($), but we are willing to accept the 65% of the total payment in technological goods, particularly medicinal, such as CAT/MRI scanners. Each price listed is the unit cost.

Air-to-air Missiles:

The AIM-120 AMRAAM missile is a beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile utilising active radar homing to seek out and destroy its target with a high-explosive blast fragmentation warhead.

Cost: $350,000

The AIM-9 Sidewinder missile is a short-range infrared homing missile. It has an annular blast-frag warhead weighing in at 9.4kg. Typically used for close-quarters dogfights.

Cost: $610,000

Air-to-surface Missiles:

The AGM-114 Hellfire missile uses semi-active laser homing, and a 9kg High Explosive anti-tank warhead, to obliterate the armour of the enemy.

Cost: $120,000

The AGM-84 Harpoon is an over-the-horizon anti-ship missile system, with an enormous 221kg warhead, and it uses active radar homing. It can also be launched from the surface, and even submarines, for a versatile, enormous anti-naval unit attack.

Cost: $1,250,000

The AGM-65 Maverick E is an accurate, semi-active laser homing missile, typically used for close air support missions, with a 136kg penetrating blast-fragmentation warhead.

Cost: $85,000

The AGM-88E HARM is an anti-radiation homing missile, designed to home in on surface-to-air radar systems, with a 66kg blast-fragmentation warhead.

Cost: $880,000

The AGM-158 JASSM-ER missile is a low observable standoff air-launched cruise missile. With its colossal 450kg warhead, it is a perfect semi-stealthy long-range air launched cruise missile.

Apologies for our long absence; we were forced to deal with other ordeals in our nation. We will now answer Ceretis's questions in terms of the purchase of their weaponry.

1) As you know, most navies these days operate using a combination of corvettes, destroyers, frigates, and cruisers. Many of these ships operate using 5 in/127 mm guns for their main battery. We do request upgrades of all associated targeting and fire control systems. Ideas for upgrading other weapon systems.

2) We can provide your people with a whole range of missiles for aircraft and ground vehicles. May we suggest purchasing shoulder fired weaponry as well for special defensive situations? Another point of interest may be the purchase of updated aircraft.
Of course. It's a surprise to many that a nation as big as our does not have a sufficient airforce, or any force for that matter.

3) Will you be requiring equipment for your other armed forces as well?
Yes, we need as many armored officers and martial forces as possible, especially in this day and age.

4) "Powerful, long-range weapons for our law enforcement." Are your people requiring only long range weapons or a full range of short and long range weaponry? Will this include surveillance equipment? Also will your needs be only lethal weapons, only less than lethal, or a combination of both? All of the above, except the crowd control measures. While safety is our top concern, we don't want our Demesces to feel intimidated by our police force in anyway. Our aim is to appear and actually be safe and protective instead of domineering.

Place your order, and quantity. Thank you for using Xentheridan Military Industries for your missile purchases.
We will be purchasing 29K of each kind of Air-to-Air missile.
We'll also go for 12K of AGM-84 Harpoon and 8K of AGM-114 Hellfire.

The cost would be well worth it. How would you like for us to uphold our side of trade. We have versatile AIs for blue-collared tasks, as well AIs for managing sectors of the economy.
Each blue-collared AI would cost 13.5K in our national currency, while the economists AIs would cost 24.7K. We'll gladly lower the price if this doesn't fit your budget. We're also not sure how much it'd be in NSD

If AIs aren't your primary interest, we have top-notch, non-AI software that can help detect unusual traffic in your nation's internet and telecom services. The installation of such software would cost a one time fee of 1.3 thousand per computer.

Costs:
Air to air missiles:
29,000x AIM-120 AMRAAM at NSD$350,000 per unit= NSD$10,150,000,000
29,000x AIM-9 Sidewinder at NSD$610,000 per unit = NSD$17,690,000,000

Air to surface missiles:

12,000x AGM-84 Harpoon at NSD$1,250,000 per unit = NSD$15,000,000,000
8,000x AGM-114 Hellfire at NSD$120,000 per unit = NSD$960,000,000

Total cost: NSD$43,800,000,000.

For payment, we will accept 35% in NSD and 65% in trade/goods. While we currently have no need for AI nor scanners to detect unusual telecommunication traffic,, we are interested in raw goods, like minerals such as gold, and medicinal products, from MRI scanners to morphine.

(OOC: for the whole NSD thing, just invent an exchange rate for your currency to the USD. Also, NSD = USD, and not our primary currency, the Woof)

The total cost equals to 24,469,273,743 pence (which we can afford without ending up in debt).

And in regards to your trade interests, we're known for our high-quality amethyst mining. We also have exports in medicinal herbs (such as cannibis) and narcotics, as well as CT scanners, X-rays, and top-notch life-support systems. If you're interested, we can negotiate the costs of these.

Greetings we in The Monarchical Confederacy of Yfyfhjgiuftgh understand the call of help from the great nation of The Federal Commonwealth of Demescia and will give all in the following list to you for free
25,000 M4A1's
35,000 Glock 20's
15,000 M1911's
125 M1 Abrams Tanks
115 Apache Attack Helicopters
1 Reaper Drone
250 Police APC's
120 A10 Warthogs
15 Rail guns for your navy

If you do not wish for any weapons on this list please return them as soon as you see fit

(OOC: Just pointing something out here, not being mean, just saying you might want to revise something. Makato... two things to take into consideration. The price tag for what is donated minus the railguns is roughly 7.63 Billion not including shipping and training costs or support equipment. The railguns alone could run 7.5 billion depending on design and would require significant refit of an existing ship. If you're also giving away the support equipment and training you'll probably add a few billion more onto that price, and ships will add in about 5-100 billion. Is this something that your nation can just afford to give away without enormous outcries from your people or significant impact on your economy? a.k.a. Do you have a large enough economy that this donation really doesn't effect your nation? Remember that in forum economies and populations are different and far smaller than NS Game populations and GDP.

Also rail guns are few and far between in Eras with only a couple nations having these or similar weapons. As far as I know only Sadakoyama and Ceretis field railgun technologies on their navies while Wolfsea alternately fields a new laser technology. Unless your military is of a significant size you probably wouldn't be researching this tech, and can your economy afford to pour in untold billions into railgun research? Also to research these weapons alone requires a high level of technology in a nation. Then to manufacture these requires advanced manufacturing technologies if you don't want them to explode when you fire them. So in a nut shell here... you might want to reconsider the total quantity and cost of donation and I significantly question the railguns unless you are buying them off someone.)

With our 35:65 deal, we will be accepting 8,564,245,811 pence in cash, but we do not have a use for amethyst.

We will, however, accept 4,282,122,905 pence worth of cannabis, which will be sold on for recreational use to cannabis firms, of which we tax profits of, and hospitals, for medicinal use. In addition to that narcotic, we will buy an equal amount of morphine or other equivalent opiates.

We will also buy of CT scanners, a further 2,446,927,374 pence worth of life support systems, and an equal amount for both x ray machines and CT scanners.

This adds up to the total of 24,469,273,743 pence. Ships are being sent over to deliver the missiles now, and pick up the goods. Pleasure doing business with you.

(OOC: Sorry for the late reply. And yes, I just bought 4.2 billion worth of cannabis.)
