Well it looks like, after 20 years, we're finally getting the Crystal Maze back. For those not in the know The crystal Maze was a UK show based on Fort Boyard, a French tv show that saw a team of contestants take on a number of challenges within the eponymous Fort. The Crystal Maze was better in that it feature four themed "Time" zones (Aztec, Future, Medieval and Industirial/Oceanic) where players had to complete either a Mental, Skill or Physical (and a mystery game which could be any of the three types) challenge to obtain crystals, each of which allowed them time in the Crystal Dome to gather the 100 Gold tokens needed to win the big prize of the week (usually a pony trekking holiday in the Cotswolds or something) and, the main selling point, was it's host Richard O'Brian (he of Rocky Horror fame) and later the less popular but still decent Ed Tudor-Pole (of 80's band Tenpole Tudor). There is literally nothing they can do to mess this revival up except get some bubble-headed twit like Amanda Holden, Ant and Dec or any other Saturday-night presenter nobhead. to host it.
Do you remember the Crystal Maze?
