I've stepped forward to run for Attorney General because someone had to.
It's not as if I've not done the job before; the predecessor office to the Attorney General (the Minister of Justice) was my first elected position in TNP, before there was a Court, in fact.
So it's not as if I'm not qualified. But, I had not wanted to get involved in elective politics, and as others who have served in the office of Attorney General will tell you (if they are still around), it's a thankless job. I'm sure that's one part of it that hasn't changed.
