Oddly I think I suggested at one time moving Delegate's Day to a day that is not a potential election day (since 2024 it was during the run off between @Pallaith and @Picairn), and it was really awkward because I had basically already left town and travelling for work in Mainland China, and so...

This seems unnecessary. I mean, the Delegate can (and I did) proclaim a day for commendation for any reason. (Under section 9.2/13 of the Legal Code). And yes re Sil's concerns on drafting above. (Edit: I did one here: https://forum.thenorthpacific.org/topic/9198368/#post-10697447)
