Opening Address
January 2025
It is an honor to speak to you all as your Delegate. First and foremost, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to those who have trusted me to give TNP a brighter future. To those who wanted something other than what I had to offer, I will be a Delegate who represents you as well, one who listens to your input and what every one of you has to say. Today has the potential to be a special day for the region, a day when we reclaim our standing on the world stage, and a day where we can all be excited about what lies ahead. It is my duty to deliver on my promises to the region and repay your trust, and I will do my best to be the leader that The North Pacific needs right now. It’s time to end the malaise and inaction that has plagued our region and lead our region into a new year and a new age of prosperity. There is a fire that burns in all of us, and it just needs to be rediscovered.
With the ever-evolving nature of gameplay, TNP must be more adaptive than ever. We’ve witnessed the introduction of the Frontier & Stronghold update which has significantly impacted the way we think about recruitment and integration. Two new sinkers have been introduced, which have shaken up the diplomatic landscape. We’ve already been proactive by expanding our network and gaining new partnerships, which we will continue to do. This term will come with new challenges, and we need to be ready to confront them head-on, both abroad and at home. Throughout TNP’s rich and storied history, it has demonstrated impeccable resilience and an ability to persevere, such as when we worked tirelessly to restore our broken technology and the WADP Program. The efforts of our tech guild inspired me, and I hope to bring that enthusiasm and willpower to all corners of the region.
It would be improper of me to not recognize my predecessor, who campaigned fiercely and made a valiant effort in our recent elections. @Picairn has been a quality servant to TNP ever since he arrived on our shores, and I wish him the best of luck during his post-delegacy. I hope that he continues to make a meaningful difference to the region and enjoys his break. I’d like to congratulate @Halsoni and @Matzerati for winning their respective elections as Vice Delegate and Speaker. I’m sure that it will be a pleasure serving alongside the two of you.
When I set out my vision for the region, I knew that I couldn’t do it alone. It is imperative that we get the best out of ourselves if we want The North Pacific to grow stronger and blossom into the region that it deserves to be. I have the utmost confidence in not only the ability of these individuals as players but also in their desire to see our region succeed. I chose them because I knew that they would be able to earnestly pursue the goals I had set in my platform and because they gave us the best opportunity to meet them. Some of them have been working hard to improve our region for many years on end, and some of them bring freshness and enthusiasm very few others do. I hope that you’re as excited about my cabinet as I am, TNP. Allow me to introduce you all to them:
Minister of Foreign Affairs - @Pallaith
What more can be said about Ghost that hasn’t been time and again? His track record speaks volumes. He has been elected TNP Delegate five times and has served as our Minister of Foreign Affairs on numerous occasions, each time bringing a level of expertise that is second to none. No one advocates for TNP’s foreign policy with the same passion, precision, and effectiveness that Ghost does, and I couldn’t have asked for a better person for this role. His wisdom, intuition, and analysis skills will be of tremendous value to us. Ghost has consistently demonstrated a profound understanding of the diplomatic landscape and is deeply committed to advancing TNP’s interests.
Minister of Defense - @Comfed
Comfed offers the perfect blend of passion, R/D experience, and diplomatic prowess for the position. He has proven that he can inspire and lead our military in his prior stint as Minister of Defense. He has delivered victories to us in the war against BoM and TCB as he oversaw the NPA during its occupation of Solidarity, the biggest blow to our enemies leading up to this point. Comfed’s leadership makes him the ideal candidate to continue driving our efforts toward military success, and his enthusiasm will make him an excellent mentor for our newer recruits and contribute to a more enjoyable environment within the NPA.
Minister of World Assembly Affairs - @Jinkies
Throughout my time in NationStates, few people have been more enjoyable to work with than Jinkies. Her energy and vigor knows no bounds, and it has evidently rubbed off on the rest of the staff. She has proven to be an exceptionally hard worker and has tirelessly worked to produce IFVs and post voting threads. Jinkies has been quite effective in eliminating redundant and ineffective resolutions from the World Assembly and has fought for the interests of TNP and its allies in the World Assembly. Her dedication, effectiveness, and ardor are why I am choosing to give her another term.
Minister of Culture - @Prydania
Prydania has been a beacon of activity within the ministry over the last couple of weeks and impressed me with his drive and commitment. His extensive experience in culture and well-roundedness will be vital in leading a newly redefined ministry. This role will now encompass communications, which will be merged into the Ministry of Culture effective immediately, as promised in my campaign. This version of Culture will differ significantly from its previous iterations, and I am confident that Prydania's leadership and expertise will guide the ministry in adapting to its expanded scope.
Minister of Home Affairs - @Kaschovia
Kaschovia is one of the most unique players that I have come across. His versatility is unmatched; you can place him in any role, and he will still excel. Once he commits to a goal, he pursues it relentlessly until it is achieved. Kasch's willpower and work ethic are exactly what the Ministry of Home Affairs needs right now. He has expressed his enthusiasm about working in an area that is new to him, and I am confident that his efforts in developing our manual recruitment process, will translate to the ministry’s effectiveness. I look forward to having him on the team for the next four months.
Advisors to the Delegate - @Dreadton and @Dalimbar
Dreadton has served admirably as an Advisor over the last four months, and I see no reason not to keep him around. His advice and perspective as an admin and cards guildmaster have been valuable, and I look forward to seeing how his continued presence will further strengthen the cabinet.
Dalimbar, a former TNP Delegate, brings valuable insight to our team with his deep understanding of both external and internal issues. His extensive experience in NationStates will be a great asset. Beyond that, his positive energy and enthusiasm will foster a positive and supportive atmosphere within the cabinet.
The following roles are not included within the formal structure of my cabinet but remain essential to the smooth functioning of our region, and the success of it as a whole. As such, I hereby appoint the following individuals to their respective roles:
Lead Gameside Advocate - @Hybodus
Hybodus/Dantek has proven himself to be one of the more promising members of the Gameside Advocates. His consistent activity on the Regional Message Board has shown that he can be present and keep an eye on things, a crucial aspect of the role.
Cards Guildmaster - @Dreadton
As Cards Guildmaster, Dreadton has demonstrated strong leadership and initiative by improving the infrastructure of our region’s cards guild. With the official release of Season 4 imminent, his efforts will be especially vital.
Once more, I thank you all once more for putting your trust in me, and I intend to give back to the region that entrusted me with its highest office. I am truly excited about the path that lies ahead for The North Pacific. If we make use of the talents and resources that we currently have at our disposal, I am confident that we can unlock that potential and go on to achieve great things. The next four months will shape the future of TNP, and with your support, we can build a more robust, vibrant region. We can create a TNP where every resident can thrive, contribute, and take pride in being part of something special. Together, we can create a stronger tomorrow.
With hope,
Chipoli
Delegate of The North Pacific
