Declaration Against Declarations
Category: Declaration | Type: Declare
Proposed by: Savonir | Onsite Topic

The Security Council,
NOTING that declarations are often written and proposed
RECOGNIZING that declarations are often written for frivolous goals, such as declaring official foods
NOTING that unlike Commendations, Liberations, or Condemnations, they mainly serve as a vehicle of platitudes with no power of enforcement
HEREBY declares its stance against declarations
Note: Only votes from TNP WA nations and NPA personnel will be counted. If you do not meet these requirements, please add (non-WA) or something of that effect to your vote.
Voting Instructions:
  • Vote For if you want the Delegate to vote For the resolution.
  • Vote Against if you want the Delegate to vote Against the resolution.
  • Vote Abstain if you want the Delegate to abstain from voting on this resolution.
  • Vote Present if you are personally abstaining from this vote.
Detailed opinions with your vote are appreciated and encouraged!

Overview
This proposal -- submitted as a Declaration -- seeks to codify a stance against the "Declaration" function in the Security Council.

Recommendation
This premise of this proposal is, itself, absurd -- there is no reason that the World Assembly would disavow a category in which it has several active resolutions. Further, the proposal itself is poorly written, failing to provide sufficient argumentation for the stance it aims to codify, and being generally abridged.

For the above reasons, the Ministry of World Assembly Affairs recommends a vote Against the Security Council resolution at vote, "Declaration Against Declarations".

Against. Waste of the Comrades' collective time. Didn't even bother bringing it up to the Comrades' Assembly.
