With tensions rising between the McMasterdonian and Sutherlan governments; the Mondic Congress, at the request of President Roman, had a vote yesterday to repeal the Mondic Non-Proliferation Bill. Congress recognizes that the bill was a strong step towards showing the world that it did not seek war, however, due to the issues popping up involving its fellow Kian Union member state and Mondari's other allies, many Congressmen came to the agreement that the Non-Proliferation Bill was passed prematurely. This agreement was realized due to the many conflicts popping up across the world, from the Kardonyslav civil war having the possibility to spread on Craviter, to the McMasterdonian-Sutherlan border crisis, to many other internal issues rearing their heads. These concerns were taken into account by Congress during the deliberations. The vote to repeal the MNPB was passed by a vote of 312 to 399 in the House and a vote of 75 to 95 in the Senate. In accordance with the vote being passed, Congress also stated that it wants the Mondic Military to acquire two intercontinental ballistic missiles each year until 2050, along with rearming the thirteen ICBMs the Military were in the process of dismantling. The President of the Senate, Kierra Sabella has stated that "while we in Congress do not want a war, we believe that due to the many issues facing the world currently, there is a good possibility that any of these could spill over onto Kian. If this happens, the Military needs the ability to defend itself, the first step in avoiding said spillover is the deterrence factor that a nuclear arsenal provides. We hope wholeheartedly that a war does not break out between McMasterdonia and Sutherland, however if it does, Mondari needs the nuclear deterrence to prevent another nuclear power from launching a first strike at the Mondic homeland." Congress has also stated that the total cost of the rearmament project, rearming the thirteen ICBMs and producing sixty-two more, will cost an estimated 9.68 billion IBU by 2050.

What started as a petition in Diosera quickly gained traction and signatures within the city and its outskirts, collecting over 10,000 signatures before the petition took to the internet and soon spread like wildfire throughout the Fatherland and gaining die-hard support from key media figures such as Nik Balis. Diosera experienced its first march yesterday on the 23rd, where thousands amassed to march down the main streets of the city, singing the 1824 version of the National Anthem and chanting various slogans and demands. Across the Fatherland even in lenefels revolutionaries and supporters of the revolution are wearing black white and blue Cockades with a yellow star, reminiscent of the flag of the nation before the compromise and amnesty declaration signed in Hasae where the flag adopted the central rose and arrows of the social party.

Neuanfang International Teaching Hospital Opens to Great Fanfare

A project months in the making today became a reality as Essalanea's first modern hospital opened in the growing city of Neuanfang. Staffed by a mix of Norsian, Predicean and other foreign specialists the hospital will begin training local nurses and doctors in modern clinical practice immediately. Funded by the state budget, foreign investment and NGO donations the hospital boasts a modern ER, Maternity wing, Trauma care, and several medical wards. It is hoped that as the project grows and gains more local personnel that the hospital can open clinics and secondary facilities across Essalanea. The current director of operations Ganseric Hureg had this to say:

First foreign Flights Begin Arriving in Neuanfang

Neuanfang international airport is still the better part of a year away from being in any sense operational, however, a small military terminal has recently begun operation as a site for Norsian flights to arrive. Known only as Terminal one it is little more than a small airstrip and a control tower that has been built close to the Norsian military camp in Neuanfang. The Terminal represents the first operational section of a much larger project, foreign specialists flying in on military planes will be processed through this zone until a larger facility is provided.

WESTFÄLICHES, AL — On December 10th of last year, the ANL announced it would be expanding to 12 teams ahead of the 2019/20 season. Today, the league finally announced the cities which had been selected. Essen and Port Phoenix-Einestadt beat out the likes of Glöckenkirchen, Bolton, Istago, and Lincoln Park to win the expansion slots. Although Einestadt and Port Phoenix, two cities which have previously hosted ANL teams, were listed as separate candidates on the shortlist, today's announcement explained that they would share a team. The name Express was chosen, a name used by the original Port Phoenix Express in the early years of the league which relocated to become the Victoria Kings in 2003 after achieving a second place finish in 2000. Einestadt's previous team, the Geld, won the ANL Championship in 2010 but were dissolved in 2015 for financial reasons. The use of the name "Phoenix Coast" is also used by the Pt Phoenix professional football team, the Phoenix Coast Warriors, and the branding of PHX is not anything new. The Express will split time between Phoenix Stadium in Port Phoenix and the Einestadt Oval. Essen, meanwhile, will play at Häller Field, also the home of Essen FC in the Premier League. The founding president of the Elche, Josua Stelzner, shared his excitement at the announcement saying "It is time to bring a national championship to Essen... this is our chance. Within three seasons, the Essen Elche will be ANL Champions." This promise is certainly ambitious, but it is not impossible. Only time will tell the success of the two new franchises.

This morning Karthied Police foiled a plot to bomb the K line metro, an operation organized by Aernish separatists. The separatists were backed by the Sons of Kaerwent, who had officially been disbanded after the creation of Aerndreffed a year ago. Yet a number of their more radical elements had continued to operate, despite their former leader Kyaerwun Raederman becoming the first president of the Aernish republic.

In a massive operation involving law enforcement agencies across the entire Federation, dozens of these radical leaders and operatives were arrested. The operation had been ongoing as numerous agencies built a case and gathered evidence of their operations. The attempted bombing sent the agencies into action.

Kraes Deffened, former second to Raederman, was arrested in Pogwe on charges of domestic terrorism and sedition. Other arrests included Hellaed Welfen, Aernish Minister of Energy, on charges of conspiracy.

The majority of arrests were carried out in Nalgorhaem among the Aernish communities there. An increased police presence has also been ordered to combat any unrest or potential retaliatory attacks. Authorities say that further arrests will likely be coming during the next few weeks as well, as the investigations continue.

TRIER, AL — Yesterday, the CEO of Hightonian auto giant AMW (Aleman Motoren Werke) Helmut Kauffman announced that the company would be expanding into the South Craviterian nation of Essalanea. Automobiles are currently sparse in the nation, known as the Land of the Steppe. Essalanea is a nation best known for its brief period of rapid expansion in the late Middle Ages, before it lost the famous Aleman War against the Fenixian Empire. Other than that history and the shared Aleman language, there is little to no connection between Highton and Essalanea. Essalanea has barely any automobiles, and AMW is looking to be a leader in bringing the technology to the steppe. Kauffman stated that he hopes Essalanea, with its current lack of automobiles, can now embrace electric car technology to make it one of the cleanest countries on the continent. AMW-Elektric, whose parent company is AMW, was founded in 2008 and will be hoping to establish itself as the #1 source of auto manufacturing in the nation.

The Ministry of Health has a special announcement. The Prodi river area has been experiencing a higher than usual amount of cases of Streptococcus pneumoniae. The Ministry of Health has declared it a Risk to the younger and older populations of the Prodi river area. There have been 438 cases with 77 fatal. The Prodi hospital has been reinforced with personnel from the Ministry of Health and the Directorate of Civil Protection. The outbreak is currently under control. The Ministry of Health warns, however that the disease is still a severe threat even outside the Prodi river area.

Predice's Cavalry Corps has gained access to another 4 C-6 "Giulia" Main Battle Tanks, with hundreds still on order, however it will be a while before the Predicean Army's Cavalry Corps is fully up to scratch. The C-6 "Giulia" is a state-of-the art Main Battle Tank developed with assisatnce from Andrenne. It weighs a massive 65 tonnes and will be the mainstay of Predicean Armour in the coming years.
Essalanea has gained access to over 1,400 Motorcycles which have been delivered. Along with those, Predice has also delivered 4 helicopters to Essalanea as a donation, along with a single CL-2B "Mavoia" wheeled tank. The CL-2B weighs in at nearly 30 tonnes and would be the heaviest vehicle in Essalanean Ground Force Service currently. Predice sees this as a step towards further solidarity with Essalanea.
Grand Doge Giorgio II is in Syrixia for the Syrixian Empire's bimillenial celebrations, along with many important members of Government, and the Imperial Signoria. They have taken residence in the Villa Ganio which has been Mavoia property since the 1970s.
Streptococcus pneumoniae has risen from what we thought was complete obscurity in Predice. The Prodi river area has seen an outbreak of the disease, warranting a warning from the Ministry of Health. The first batch of Military hardware arrives from Predice


Our trading and development partners in Predice today surprised our nation when they generously delivered the first 1400 military motorcycles of the 15,000 total ordered by the Essalanean government. In addition to Iron Horses, Predice also provided a single immense battle tank, the so-called CL-2B and four helicopters which will prove invaluable as our pilots begin using them for military and police actions on the steppe.

Otto Rugen Dies Following Fall from Horse

Tragedy struck today when clan chief Otto Rugen, Chief Justice of the Clans, fell from his horse during a hunting trip near Neuanfang, this is especially unfortunate as Justice Otto was due to meet with representatives from several nations who had arrived in the capital to help the nation develop a more modern legal code. Haor Chall to withdraw land-based nuclear missiles by 2022

Xi Char – The Haor Chall Ministry of Defence announced this morning that a long awaited review of its nuclear force posture has recently been completed and its recommendations accepted by the Council of the Majestic Twelve. The review decided that there was insufficient justification to maintain the full “nuclear triad” capabilities and that the land-based nuclear missiles, located in silos spread throughout the western reaches of the country, should be withdrawn from service.

Although this means that Haor Chall will no longer maintain the full "triad" of nuclear deterrent capabilities - land, air and sea - it still has a significant nuclear arsenal in the hands of the Navy’s four “Sovereign” class nuclear submarines and the nuclear-capable bombers of the Haor Chall Air Force. A Ministry of Defence spokesperson said, “Our Sovereign class submarines provide a continuous at sea ICBM capability and the Haor Chall Air Force maintains two classes of bombers which are capable of deploying a range of tactical and strategic nuclear weapons with a global reach. The review is clear that these systems provide a more than sufficient deterrent for Haor Chall and expenditure on the land-based silos is not required or justified. The first silo will be stood down by the end of this year and a rolling programme will then continue until 2022.”

Some international commentators have expressed surprise at the timing of the announcement, particularly with the recent news of Midir’s resumption of its nuclear weapon programme. Officials were clear however, that this policy change had been in progress for some time and that the decision, which keeps over two thirds of the Haor Chall nuclear stockpile intact, does not reflect a reduction in the deterrent posture or capability of the nation. Although it is currently unconfirmed, sources inside the Octagon, say that the money saved will not be taken out of the defence budget but reallocated to conventional forces despite reports that the savings would be used to increase spending on the national health service.

Many of the missile silos, dotted around the mountainous north western parts of the country, have been operational since 1967. There are reportedly around 80 Titan IV missiles which have been in service since 1981 and it is expected that the disposal of the missiles will take up to 5 years after they are finally decommissioned in 2022. A decision on how to utilise the land currently housing the silos has been tasked to a new commission which is expected to begin taking evidence later this year.


Emergency curfew lifted in Charros

The emergency curfew imposed in the city of Charros by the ISD for reasons of public safety has now been lifted. Imposed following recent antisocial disturbances, which have seen over 20 people arrested for a range of offences, the announcement lifting the curfew was made today by the ISD alongside the city Mayor, who encouraged citizens to go about their business as normal.

The troubled Horizon Airline yesterday announced a profit warning ahead of its end of year report. The company, which has struggled to compete with Air Chall on domestic routes, had a failed attempt to setup a long haul arm this year. The company share price dropped 2 points on opening, following the announcement which had long been expected by market watchers. Talks of a future merger, with Air Chall or a foreign airline, are believed to have kept the share price from dropping further as investors hedge on Haor Challs second largest airline.

Essalanean Army to purchase service Rifles

The National Army of the Clans has expressed interest in purchasing rifles from Predice and Skanda respectively, The Predicean FA-64/10 will be purchased in order to arm naval and police units in the country. Meanwhile, the Skandan type 16/a is expected to be utilized by the growing combat formations of the regular army. Alric Volkmann, commander of the national army had this to say:

'The time has come to arm our forces properly, we need robust and reliable weaponry that will work on the steppe and the Predicean and Skandan candidates both fit this requirement. I should point out that while we will be sourcing our standard arms from our friends in Skanda and Predice, we are not ruling out acquiring more sophisticated weapons from our eternal ally Norsia in order to arm our special operations units.'

The Essalanean Armed forces are currently being trained as part of a joint effort by several nations to create a modern peacekeeping force for the nation.


Essalanea to Supply Natural Gas to McMasterdonia

With the Kianese Empire still recovering from its damaging Civil War the Clans offered to supply Natural Gas reserves to McMasterdonia on the condition that the empire was able to supply vessels for transportation. McMasterdonia is currently in the process of restoring its war-damaged Pipelines and as such this deal should provide valuable respite for the Nation, and a major trade opportunity to ours.

Queen Alycia revokes the Amnesty and Reconciliation Decree; announces Fatherland Integrity Act Her Grace, Queen Alycia under great pressure from the popular April uprising has revoked the Amnesty and Reconciliation Decree earlier this morning in a move that has shocked the nation. Chairman Dubov killed in BNSI raid Chairman Dubov was killed earlier this evening as agents of the Bureau of National Security Intelligence raided his home in the Astissan Highlands conducting an arrest warrant following the dissolution of the Amnesty and Reconciliation decree. According to BNSI spokesman Nektarios Hanas when the tactical team announced their warrant and forcefully entered Dubov's home. Dubov initially fled upstairs when the tactical team established contact with Dubov a second time he drew on the officers with an army service pistol forcing them to shoot him. an Investigation has been opened to determine foul play among the Special Agents.

An anti-Esplandian protest turned violent in the streets of Nalgorhaem over frustrations with the planned integration of the two nation’s legislator. Many Alstenbekers, angry over the promised transfer of Soltenfrith to Saegsen, see this push as yet another blatant stripping of their rights and autonomy.

The Nalgorhaem police force seemed unable to quell the violent protests which lead to numerous business being looted or burned. The police force have been accused of not only allowing the protestors to carry out their wanton destruction, but may even support the anti-Esplandish rhetoric, with the cities vice-commissioner even making a comment that the Esplandians “should have seen this level of resentment coming.”

While the nobility of Alstenbek has condemned the violence, many continue to rail against the push by Raum Kolta and King Sherwin to unify the nations. “He’s only been king for a year,” said Haevrik auf Waelgyeord, Duke of Struldian. “Did he expect us to immediately become Esplandian?”

Kolta, standing before a meeting of the two countries nobles on Friday, spoke passionately of unification. “We are two people’s brought together. There will be no putting of Esplandian above Alstenbeker. I’m asking only for a unification of the legislatures to better serve the people.”

His speech seems not to have been enough to quell the fears of Alstenbekers.

Earlier today this evening, protests continue on the streets of Chusan and Taehaek as protestors take to the street in demands for democratization. The Arirangese Government under President Kye Hyun-su has made no comment in regards to the protests officially, however, the Pro-Kye Mayor of Chusan which is running for a 4th term has announced that he will as quote "Send these bandits to prison." followed by threats to call the military in should the protests not relent. Several reports of activity by the Free Arirangese Underground State have been reported with several protests turning into riots as several officers refused to turn on their own people with some even reported to have been seen siding with the protestors.

These protests were in recent light after a massive leak from the Arirangese Ministry of Central Defense and rumors that a person that had similarities to the so-to-be deceased princess, direct heir to the throne, was still alive somewhere in Hyeangseul. The government has denied these allegations saying that "The Princess is dead, there is nothing more to it." and that the claims are baseless despite the leak detailing the government's acknowledgement of her existence and that she was drafted into the military in secret under a false identity and classified as a "Weapon" rather than personnel.

Riots in Chusan have began to escalate as the Police began to bring out Armed Police Officers and began firing rubber bullets into the crowd resulting in the crowd responding with other projectiles. The situation on the ground remains volatile and several critics of the government say that "This is the end for the tyrant." and that there will be free and open elections sooner or later. However, Kye Hyun-su has repeatedly said that there will be no change of government "For as long as we suppress these traitors"

Reports from Hyeangseul is that the former opposition leader and current Federal Assembly Member Prince Chung which is the uncle of the late Princess Katherine was reported to have left his house in Hyeangseul to go to his home city of Chusan to organize a deal in behalf of the government. However, the government has stopped him in the airport under the guise of "Security". Vocal critics of the government have accused them of stopping Prince Chung in an attempt to prevent any form of Royal influence from within the nation. Prince Chung has told the press and the public to remain calm and that he is safe.

A referendum was held in the norther counties of the Dominion of ArchCentre today and there is some troubling news for Sutherland. It seems the stronghold the intellectual and educated citizens have had on governance has caused a significant response from the north dominion where many blue collar and working class live.

The counties in red have voted to rejoin the Kingdom of McMasterdonia. Core County in gold is where the capital of Sutherland is located. Wonderess and Triumph of the Nation Counties have reported significant numbers of people leaving the area of succession. The government of the dominion has announced that border control forces will be dispatched to regulate the crossing of people between the areas. The Dominion of ArchCentre has for all purposes been split into the existing Dominion of ArchCentre and the Provisional Government of Baywell. Baywell was the former name of the region during McMasterdonian rule. Core County is under lockdown with the possible threat of foreign nationals attacking from Sacramentum or Universalis Counties.

MP Anne Ulburg Speech

This morning, recently elected MP and Countess of Solvang Anne Ulburg gave a speech to Parliament, criticizing the Royal Family and announcing her plans to run for Prime Minister in 2020. At the speaker podium, Ulburg opened simply enough, thanking the province of Solvang for her election and those in Parliament who supported her, but she was soon in controversial territory, speaking out against the Empress's actions in the past year to increase her personal power in government, declaring it to be the first steps to 'rob her people of their democracy.'

Ulburg requested to Parliament that they begin to work to return people their electoral rights. She stated, "Right now, 38 of 120 Members of Parliament were not elected by the people, but appointed by Madam Severyn-Kanad. We live in a modern nation, 'representatives' that are not elected are not representative. All 120 members should be voted in by the people."

To end off her speech, she talked about plans to run for PM in the 2021 election. Although Parliament was silent and generally dismissive of her whole speech, there has been widespread support of Ulburg online. No response has been given by the Severyn-Kanads.

Wehrspaht Victorious in Hockey Finals

The underdog Wehrspaht Rustngjøres won the Galtung Cup last night after winning 5-4 in overtime in Game 7 against the Sundeon Sørstatenes. Wehrspaht barely crawled into the semifinals with Kalgary, Sundeon, and Håperbyen, winning against Håperbyen and proceeding to a two-week long struggle against he Sundeonians. Although controversy arose about a five-minute major called during the game which allowed the Rustngjøres to pull ahead from 2-4 to 4-4, no word has emerged about it from the Kanadian Ice Hockey Organization.

The Galtung Cup will reside in Wehrspaht until next year.

As the McMasterdonian airforces entered to the triumphant welcome by McMasterdonian subjects who had been freed from the tyranny of theocratic rule by the Arc-Wonderess, so too did the Queen Mother. In a surprise to the elated subjects, the Queen Mother made the long journey not long after surviving an assassination attempt at the hands of an agent of the so-called 'Government' of Sutherland.

Emerging from helicopter that had transported her, the Queen Mother enthralled her subjects as they surrounded her and many posed for a photo with the reigning ruler.

"The voters of the province of Sutherland know that McMasterdonia will never give up on them, nor shall I, or shall the Prince. The huge success of this vote, despite the widespread corruption and threatening tactics of the charlatans that claim to represent Sutherland, the people have spoken loudly and clearly that they too desire nothing more than a re-establishment of order under the helm of the Kingdom of McMasterdonia.

The Queen Mother went on to say that this decision reflected what she and other distinguished leaders from across Kian and Meterra had been saying for years. "This rebel regime is illegitimate and has no right to assert authority over the region" she said "Those rulers who were so quick to rush to attempt to legitimise those who destabilised McMasterdonia look quite the fool. The first time the people of Sutherland have had a say and they have clearly rejected the illegitimate regime led by the Arc-Wonderess".

The Queen Mother remains confident that order will be restored to the entire province soon. "I shall not rest until even the people of the Core, who are the most oppressed by the Arc-Wonderess who claims to rule them, are fully restored to the protection of the Kingdom of McMasterdonia".

The Mondic government made the decision to dispatch the MNS Rizer and its task group in order to ensure the stability of the region. With the Goyanean navy off the coasts of McMasterdonia and Sutherland, we believe that the MNS Rizer can act as a deterrent from any irrational moves. On the issue of the Sutherland vote and the McMasterdonian forces in said counties that voted to rejoin McMasterdonia, we believe that the Sutherlan government should respect the vote of said regions because the Sutherland government authorized said elections. However, we are also urging both sides to not move past their regions of support, McMasterdonia should stay in the regions of "Onward, Faith of the Nation, Universalis, and Sacramentum." On the other side, we are also urging the Sutherlan government to not try to forcefully retake said regions, that would cause a war to break out. If the McMasterdonian and Sutherlan government are willing to sit down and talk this situation out to come to an understanding, that would be a large step towards de-escalation. If either side invades the other, the Midranean military will be forced to act in accordance to who was the aggressor.

Breaking: Plane carrying Archbishop Gunrei has crashed into the Caspius Alps

In breaking news, we are receiving reports that the private jet carrying the Archbishop Gunrei has crashed into the Caspius Alps, just north of the City of Caspius. The Archbishop and his entourage had departed the Kingdom of Esplandia following a negotiation with the Kingdom of McMasterdonia in which a peace agreement was signed.

We must intervene in order to fully restore order and to ensure that our carefully negotiated peace prevails" The Ministry of Defence said in a statement.

It is believed that more than two hundred thousand ground troops have been ordered into the Archbishopric to restore order. The ground troops will be supported by a large detachment of the royal navy and airforce.

The Ministry of Defence is confident that full order will be restored in a number of days.

Taehaek City erupts into protests!​

Protestors occupy the streets of Taehaek in response to news regarding the Government Crackdown

Recently the Government of Arangseo announced it's surrender towards the Arirangese Underground State or officially known as the New United Kingdom of Arirang(NUKA). The Arirangese Government in response earlier at 8AM at May 22nd in a public announcement announced Martial Law over the Principalities of Yeonbaek, Taehaek, Arangseo and Arishime. However, recent defections from major units in these area's including entire Military Bases, Air Force Bases, alongside a majority of the Arirangese Navy and the RNS Vengeance which the AUS have made into their mobile base has made any form of action hard and difficult. Protestors recently merged with Military Forces and Civilian Militia's loyal to the Underground State to form the Taehaek Liberation Organization. National Guard units and any forces still loyal to the government are struggling to maintain order as major roads have been blocked by checkpoints set up by Royalists. President Kye Hyun-Su has not made any comment but a emergency committee called the Arirangese Emergency Government announced the suspension of the constitution and the National Assembly.

Several POW camps holding forces that were loyal to the UKA in the North have been liberated by forces now loyal to the NUKA with them declaring the reformation of the New Royal Armed Forces. NRAF activity has recently been focused on reorganizing and consolidating control over their newly controlled regions in order to secure these area's against any force still loyal to the Government. Reports from informants and ground crew in Taehaek suggests that KM-44 Sentinels of the Arirangese Army Aviation can be seen landing on multiple areas alongside the deployment of troops loyal to the NUKA government. National Guard units can be seen retreating from the sight of tanks with Blue Flags rather than the Arirangese Flags with Government Forces beginning to pile up into Central Taehaek at the Regional Assembly Building, Mayor's Office, Police Headquarters and the local National Guard Garrison Building.

Several members of the Kye Government and National Assembly have left Hyeangseul for cities now under NUKA control as apart of what appears to be a coordinated effort against the government with members from the Arirangese Intelligence Services and Military defecting on national television and on public the moment they reached NUKA held territory. However, several of these officials were arrested on arrival by Arirangese Military Police and are currently held in multiple prisons awaiting trial. Reports and rumors suggesting that Princess Katherine, who was presumed dead for years now, is coordinating the revolution against the government with Colonel Okabe and several other high ranking members of government. These arrests also saw what appears to be previously surplus vehicles like the HSS-2 being seen back in use by members of the counter-government.

Hyeangseul at the moment is a hotbed of political troubles with reports of any remaining loyal troops being directed to go to Hyeangseul and protect the half of it which is not under NUKA control. Reports of Flanker Fighter Jets with Arirangese Markings are also surfacing with reports that Air Force Bases are now being reinforced with surplus equipment from the North. The situation remains volatile, and the Arirangese Government urges all citizens to stay indoors and hide. Reports of the Arirangese Carriers RNS Cheongju being missing has been confirmed with the NUKA government saying that it plans to utilize the Cheongju for the purpose of evacuation should the government resort to firebombing.

The Grand Moot has today announced reforms directed at modernizing the Adjudicators Conclave, the ancient enforcers of clan law, a new uniform and mission were debuted at a session in Neuanfang.

'A modern police force that is able to protect our citizens and deal with criminal elements is a vital step towards a stable and prosperous future on the steppe, those men and women who answer the call shall be the strong arm of the Grand Moot'

Enforcer units have already been deployed in Volkmann territory for several years but will now extend to other clan territories as well. In practice clans will still police themselves at the local level, however, those crimes which go beyond mere local issues shall be handled by the new Adjudicators.

Armed with modern weaponry, heavy pursuit vehicles and a mandate from the Moot itself, these new forces shall be vital to the enforcement and expansion of modern clan law.

GOJANNESSTAD, NYHETT- The Ministry of Defense announced today that more ships were to be deployed to the seas off the coast of Sutherland, and that a detachment of Knights would be mobilized int the coming week to be sent off to sea. According to initial reports from Jægerstrom, two more destroyers left the harbor, and workers were seen loading supplies onto several more ships, including the HMS Admiral Fannin, an amphibious helicopter carrier.

A full roster of ships that will be deployed include the helicopter carrier HMS Admiral Fannin, medium carrier HMS Johannes IX, the cruisers HMS Kallasund and HMS Trondsund , the destroyer HMS Hanssonberg, the frigates HMS Jon Overgard and HMS Thor Arnald, and the landing dock ship HMS Østnet Vind. Submarine status is not and will not be known, but four subs are going to be deployed, according to the MoD.

A joint press message from the Ministry of Defense and the Goyanean Embassy in Predice stated the following:

"Goyanean ships will be making temporary ports of call in Savona and various other Predicean ports as part of our continuing presence in the Western Sea and our enduring commitment to the sovereignty of Sutherland. Ships will be refueling and restocking there, and already forward-deployed ships will rotate with fresh ships from Goyanes, so as to ensure no lapse in coverage of the situation. We thank the Predicean government for assisting us in our endeavors and for joining us in the pursuit of justice and peace."

It is expected that a couple Predicean ships will join the Goyanean task groups moving into position off the coasts.

Earlier this week, a (what some consider to be illegitimate) referendum held in several counties of Sutherland resulted in a vote that claimed victory for a motion to rejoin McMasterdonia. McMasterdonia pounced on this news and immediately mobilized troops within McMasterdonia, as well as invaded a portion of the Arch Center province of Sutherland.

The Stortinget held a vote today to authorize the Goyanean navy mobilization, and it was evenly split on party lines. The NUP passed the bill with its generous majority, and the Ministry of Defense was given authorization to begin. In addition, it is expected that the 18th Mechanized Infantry Brigade and the 22nd Fighter Wing will be participating in liaison activities with the Sutherlan Diadem. This transfer plan was made known earlier this month.

This response comes as Midir deployed a carrier task force to the Western Sea as a result of the same escalations. Earlier this month Midir became a signatory to the Luscova Pact, an agreement with the purpose of defending Eras' "worse-off nations." Ken Lorge, Foreign Minister, commented on the situation, saying that "for a nation so seemingly obsessed with defending the poor and impoverished as Midir, they sure don't seem to be living it up." He also added that "Midir is clearly standing by while McMasterdonia pounces on a poor and defenseless nation" and that "every day Midir allows this to continue, they are more and more out of line with the ideals they stand for, and are complicit in the situation." It is expected PM Norberg will make a statement on Saturday or Sunday.

Public opinion polling is showing support for Sutherland, but much is still not known. On Fluttr, pacifist activists and so-called "war hawks" had spat and made their opinions known, but this is obviously not representative of real public opinion.

In a recent "special address" made by Prime Minister Olivia Vehrn, the nation was shocked when she stated that she would be resigning from her position, effective at the end of the address. Vehrn cited her rapidly deteriorating mental health, caused by stress and anxiety related to her position as Prime Minister. Of course, many are doubtful this is the only reason as her approval ratings have been dropping since 2017.

It seemed to start when she never followed through on her promise of an investigation into former Prime Minister William Gehrhardt for corruption, and from there it only spiraled as the majority of her post-election promises crumbled. From a lack of rural infrastructure funding to the seemingly unwarranted and unneeded Vehrn-Border Control Act pushed onto Hessunland and the expulsion of all "illegal" Hesseans from Andrenne, which not only caused a multitude of riots in major cities but saw the unwarranted persecution of thousands of Gottiacs simply for living in Andrenne.

Whatever the reason her resignation, though predicted by some, has completely crushed whatever confidence was left in the reigning Koalition van den Arn between the Nasjonal Koalition Parti and the Zentristika Liga. This was quickly proven when not even a full day into Deputy Prime Minister Johann Kiirsson's term, the coalition between the NKP and the ZL collapsed in it's entirety, meaning neither had a majority in either the Lairnsaaveara or the Lieger-Has.

A motion of no confidence was put forward by the parliament in the same day. The snap election will be held on Monday, the 27th of May. Most predict that the Sozialdemokratiska Arbetsvoima Parti, the former opposition to the Koalition van den Arn, will win a landslide victory, but only time will tell.

Today the first look of Glrann Nasjonal report (Green National Report) was released in the Montonget in Krimielstein earlier today. The report was requested by the NNP shortly after they gained control of the Montonget last election. The reports aims and purpose is to look at the progress made across Ulstome to creating an environmentally sustainable future. The report is planned to be repeated atleast every 2 years to ensure reliable and consistent comparisons can be regularly made between reports. The report contained many different sections of data that will be publicly released following the completion of discussions in the Montonget and questions by related committees.

The discussions today were focused mostly on the sources of Ulstome's energy production with its current make up of sources being diversified and increasing in its amount of renewable energy to phase out fossil fuels over the last several Montongets which the NNP had maintained its control.

The discussion in the Montonget today were lead by the opposition leader and leader of the DOP, Erik Lanson. He was critical of the NNP for its continual use of Gas as a source of Ulstome's power. "..despite the progress made by the NNP in its efforts to rid Ulstome of dirty fuels, it has not done so, 5.8% of this nations power is still from gas, this is not success but is rather failure!..." - Erik Lanson. His criticisms of the report were met mostly with sounds of disapproval, even from his own side with many of the DOP members remaining silent instead, his criticisms however were taken up by the GP who further criticised the NNP for their continual use of nuclear energy and refusal to shut down the Larenchester Nuclear power-plant. "..aswell as the concerns raised by the DOP, it is disgraceful that nuclear energy is still used as a source of power in this country, we should be leading the way in renewable energy by now and should of been 100% renewable long ago. The NNP's refusal to shutdown nuclear power-plants such as Larenchester has prevented us from doing so..." - Anna Hathlon, leader of GP.

The NNP was not defenceless during these discussions however with its leader, George Roberts, responding the attacks made by the opposition party. He cited the large sums of money that was given in subsidies to firms to provide sources of renewable energy at lower alongside the governments purchase and establishment of wind and solar farms reaching record levels across the nation. "..was a record year for investment into renewable energy sources in both subsidies and procurement by the government, we have spent 4.3% more than that in real terms, we could be 100% renewable now but we will not dig a hole of debt into the ground to bury ourselves in to do so, if the trend continues as it is currently we would have phased out gas for renewable before 2030 with nuclear following suit soon, however as you well know we have no been closing nuclear plants as of yet but we have not built any more either. We will continue to increase our renewable energy and when the time is right nuclear will be phased out, but that time is not now..." - George Roberts.

The discussions today have only been the start of what will most likely be weeks of discussions and debates of all section of the report, not just the energy sources, that may or may not culminate in the NNP taking further action to improving the way this nation works in relation to its environment. The NNF have done outstanding work towards improving Ulstome's relation with her environment but the question being asked is could they have done better?

After hearing the statement put out by the Goyanean government, we are disappointed to hear the falsities and hypocrisy being stated by Gojannesstad. Firstly, the accusation that Mondari needs to defend every single nation that is worse off than it due to its membership in the Luscova Pact is deceiving at best; while Mondari is a member of the Luscova Pact, Sutherland is not, therefore that is a moot point. It is also deceiving because Mondari is an ally of the Sutherlan government, it is not sending troops or troops ships to port in McMasterdonia like Goyanes has to Predice; these troops being stationed in Predicean ports is much more of an escalation than Mondari stationing the MNS Rizer task group in international waters. On top of that, Mondari is not at all standing by in any way, it has continuously pushed both sides to work together, however, it is not going to force either side to do anything, it is not an imperialist nation in any right, its job is not to use its military might to make other nations submit. The fact that the Goyanean government claims Mondari is tossing its ideals out the windows by stationing ships in international waters is extremely hypocritical considering Goyanes is not only doing the exact same thing, but it is also putting its own troops and weaponry at port of one of the nations near the area. On another point, Mondari supports the democratic process, and by the best information we have at this time, the vote in the regions of Sutherland that voted to rejoin McMasterdonia are legitimate, even if they come out to be illegitimate, the fact that Goyanes is stating a dislike for this is also hypocritical, considering that there is reliable evidence that the Goyanean government interfered in the Vallish election. Therefore, the fact that Goyanes seems to believe it can use its influence to force nations to do what it wants it not a good reflection on the Gojannesstad government. The fact that Goyanes's issues only came up after Mondari did exactly what itself did, in that it stationed ships in the international waters off Sutherland and McMasterdonia seems to show that Goyanes believes it is the only nation that can make substantial moves in deploying a navy to prevent conflict. Either that or Goyanes has plans to invade McMasterdonia, therefore fearing a real naval threat being stationed near it. In either case, it does not make the Gojannesstad government look good. If Goyanes wants to come to the table and work together on pulling our militaries out of the region to cool tensions between our governments, we would be willing to work with them. If they do not then it reflects on their true motives; in any case, Mondari is not wanting a war to break out between McMasterdonia and Sutherland, we have continuously stated this fact, the deployment of the carrier group is a way to dissuade any actor from starting a war. There was no plan to deploy any ships, planes, or troops to the region until Goyanes did so itself.

COTE D'AZUR - The 6th fleet, stationed at Joint Base Selfridge, was deployed this evening ahead of schedule, following a press briefing by the Assistant Secretary of Defense, Jean-Paul Brugière at the Shard, DoD. The announcement was made as an addendum to the regularly scheduled National Defense Update held earlier this evening. Questions regarding the deployment were kept brief and to a minimum. According to a statement by the Secretary of Defense, Antonin Rasinski. who was not present at the conference; officially the fleet is set to participate in a training exercise with the Maloran Navy and visit our allies in the south.

There is speculation by some military pundits that question the timing of such a deployment so close to the McMasterdonian-Sutherland conflict zone. Among a myriad of possibilities, two main questions came up, "Has the government chosen a side in this conflict?" and "Is the navy simply seeking to protect our and our allies interests in the region?" Further clarification on the matter submitted to the DoD has been met with silence at this time.

What is known at this time is that the 6th fleet left Joint Base Selfridge at enhanced strength, headed by the carrier CNS Long Night of Solace, two amphibious assault ships, the CNS Enduring Conviction and CNS Clarity of Faith, as well as the Arsenal Ship CNS Ascendant Justice with all their accompanying support vessels. The fleet is scheduled to rendezvous with the Maloran 'Battle Group Batavia' sometime in the next hour and begin their journey south.

Recently, the Arirangese Government gathered into Hyeangseul after the defection of most of Southern Arirang and Northern Arirang, barely keeping a hold over urban strongholds at the western parts of the country with Rebel Forces moving into government positions. Journalists and media from foreign countries were recently allowed back into the country after the capture of the Capital's Airport - Sakura International Airport from government forces after a brief firefight with National Guardsmen on Terminal 2 of the Airport. President Kye has made a public announcement condemning the rebels and calling for the public to resist while calling out the Princess which has been allegedly reclassified from KIA to Alive saying that she is a ghost and a mere puppet of the Royalists.

The Kye Government also proclaimed the Republic of Arirang and declared the Monarchy a illegal institution, this has resulted in the Royal Family now fully supportive of the Royalists alongside most of the Armed Forces including most of the Arirangese High Command, this goes the same with a majority of government institutions. The Kye Government has gathered in Hyeangseul and Haikyushu to establish a defensive area against the royalists.

Forces from the Republican Government have hunkered down in strategic positions in the city, however having lost their access to heavier firearms and weaponry they are limited in terms of defensive abilities with frontline troops from the Republican Government being seen supplied with 1940's to 1960's equipment and Anti Tank Guns due to an absence of Anti Tank Weaponry. Meanwhile coverage from the outskirts where Arirangese Royalists are cleaning up the situation and emerging upon their positions they were seen with weapons from Arirangese Service and even weapons that were from the Northern Government alongside vehicles.

Over the skies of Hyeangseul, fierce dogfighting has began with the Royalists fighting what is left of the Republican Air Force under the form of the 185th Fighter Wing which is facing against multiple wings hailing from both the Naval Aviation and Air Force. The Arirangese Royalist Government has stated that they are determined to "See Hyeangseul fall under their hands and Kye brought to justice over the numerous crimes against the Arirangese people." under the words of a Arirangese Spokesman.

The Gotic Community located around Koshimoto at the Strait Islands are safe according to the Royalists as they mopped up the last of the Republican elements in the Island. The Arirangese Royalist Government has also restarted flights for foreigners that have to leave the country. Arirangese Military Forces continue to be deployed in or around Airports as most civilian airports are now being used by the Military as staging areas.

Haikyushu meanwhile is currently subject to a Arirangese Air and Sea invasion with Arirangese Marines from the 24th Marine Regiment and forces from the Arirangese Airborne which were seen with reactivated Northern Vehicles such as the KJU-3 and KJU-4 being seen as the backbone of the assault. Forces manning the KJU's were seen with a mix of Arirangese and Equipment of Eastern Origin and occasionally AK Type Assault Rifles.

Following Ceretian expression of interest in Essalanean traditional crafts, the conclave of makers has at the High Chief's request donated several replicas and original pieces to the Ceretian museum as part of an exhibition on clan history. The replicas include a perfect copy of the bronze floor map of Essalanea contained in Vosgotis and several ancient swords and statuettes from various periods in Essalanean history.
