I'm the current ruler of the Federal Republic of Yugobatania. As of writing this thread, my nation is a New York Times Democracy (apparently one of ony 4.4% in all of NationStates!) and with pretty great economy as well as a very good civil rights. and superb political freedom. Funny story is that I used this country for a school project, and then I discovered NationStates literally a few hours ago of posting this. And let me tell you, making your own country is fun!

I'm also using this country for a comic I'm making - inspired by Ace Combat and among other things Indiana Jones and Robotech. Yep, I'm an "artist", though imo, an okay one.

I will say, playing around with the issues NS provides your nation can be quite entertaining... for a while. But after you get bored of answering issues and building character for your nation, most people graduate into one of a few ways of playing the game. Some go into roleplay, others government. Both choices are great, and no one's to say you can't do both. And, now that NS Cards are a thing, answering Issues just got a whole lot cooler.
