A Message in a Bottle​

The North Pacific Ministry of Culture presents "A Message in a Bottle".

This is a new initiative designed to send positive messages and vibes to your fellow community members. Sometimes we don't take the time to show our appreciation for those around us, and here is a great opportunity to do so.

Your anonymous messages in a bottle will find their way to the person of your choice and will be shared here on the public forum. Submit all messages by Thursday 23 August. We may extend this deadline depending on how the submissions are going.

Well.. hmm.. Where do I even begin. I mean, it's gonna be obvious who this is from once you read it, so no other trying to dumb it down to hide my identity haha. Well. From the moment we started talking, I could tell you were different. You were funny, kind, you didn't mind my awkwardness, in fact you embraced it, you made me feel comfortable... and I mean, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't scared at first. You were so... different. So accepting. Even when I was too shy to make a full conversation with you, you just.. I don't know. You got me. You clicked. And I love love love that. And things have only gotten better ever since then.

I never thought I'd be able to find a new best friend after losing mikayla. I always thought I was just some annoying person who'd never be good enough for anyone but... You showed me that it wasn't true. You took me in and you showed me humor, a real connection, happiness, love, and helped build a bond that I hope I never have to lose. You brought a new light into my life that I never thought I'd find again and for that I could nevr ever thank you enough. You've changed me a bit since then. You've pushed me to be proud of who I am, to believe in myself, to stand up for myself. You helped me see my worth and you help me believe in myself when no one else does. You've taught me that I am a wonderful person and I don't need the validation of everyone in order to matter because I already am amazing on my own as long as I be myself. It's cheesy and sooo cliche, but it's true. I really do love you.

Thank you for absolutely everything. For being a light in my life, for pushing me to not be afraid of who I am, for supporting me, for being incredible. You're so funny and sweet and caring and understanding, I feel like we can talk about literally anything for hours on end and I wouldn't get bored... hopefully you wouldn't either xD I'm so lucky and so glad I have someone like you in my life. You really do mean the world to me and I hope I never lose you. I'm so lucky and glad I have the privilege if calling you my best friend.
