Syrixia-Highton Outer Space Agreement
Due to the lack of a suitable launch site within Highton to facilitate the ambitions of the Hightonian Space Agency, a new site is required for use. Programs such as White Star and Adler require a permanent launch site and since the closure of the Rixion Space Center, the HSA has been granted permission to use the AN Shekhar Air Force Station, although permission has been granted on a case by case basis.

This agreement permanently allows the Hightonian Space Agency to use the Shekhar Station (near Shravasti) in Syrixia. In exchange, the Syrixian Space Agency will send one of the six astronauts on the Adler 1, the first mission on the Adler Station in 2019. This agreement also encourages the sharing of technology between the two space agencies.

The Benolian Aerospace Corps is an agency of the Federal Government dealing with aeronautics and space flight. Eleos Space Flight Centre is one of two launch facilities and is the Corps’ primary launch centre for human spaceflight. It is contracted for use by various private space research companies and the Highton Space Agency, who have been working closely with BAC on the development of the Adler Station.

Located on the east coast of the island of Venetia in north Benolia, ESFC is contained within Aerospace Corps Station Eleos and is the site of the Space Commands’ Launch Control Centre and Mission Control Centre, as well as Launch Complex 1A, the Corps' primary space launch pad.

The Vehicle Assembly Building will be used to construct the Adler-1 launch system, and will be transported to Launch Complex 1A for launch in 2019. One Benolian astronaut, Maria Constantinou, was selected to join the crew of Adler-1. She is currently undergoing extensive 6-month long training at Alexandria Space Centre in Genovia.

Shekhar Air Force Station, Syrixia

Thousands of people gathered near Shravasti, Syrixia, to witness the launch of Highton’s multi-purpose satellite White Star-2. The launch is the first of three major launches orchestrated by the Highton Space Agency in the next few months, with the other two relating to the Adler Station, an orbital outpost set to begin missions in May. White Star-1 was the last launch at the now-defunct Rixion Space Central in Highton, before the HSA opted to relocate launches to Syrixia because of its better location. The first satellite was mainly a test mission for White Star-2 and Adler, but also is used as a communications satellite.

White Star-2 will be the largest satellite ever launched by the HSA: it will have multiple purposes, among them as a deep-space telescope and telecommunications. It can be used as a backup communications point for Adler once the station is completed. The launch of the first Alder mission is set to be the 21st of March, 2019.

The two brand-new reusable HSA rockets launched into the atmosphere as the Syrixian isles faded away while the rocket glided away from the Phoenix Strait. As the satellite left the atmosphere and prepared to release, viewers on television cheered as they knew that this was the beginning of a very important time for space exploration.

OOC Note: Previous posts have been updated to replace Benolia with Syrixia, but I obviously can’t update Benolia’s post.
