Blood on The Clocktower Edition II - Town Square

Set Up Information

You are about to receive either a red or blue token via discord DMs. If blue, you are good. If red, you are evil. The aim of the game if you are good is to find and execute the Demon. If the Demon dies, good wins. The aim of the game if you are evil is to destroy the town. If just two players are left alive, evil wins.

The game is split into two phases: a day phase and a night phase.

Day Phase

During the day, you talk. You will each have a secret identity, a character on the list, posted separately down below this introduction. Generally, the good players share whatever they know and attempt to find out who is who. Most good players will be telling the truth, but some have an incentive to lie. If you are evil, you should definitely be lying! It is best to pick a good character to pretend to be, spreading as much false information as possible.

To nominate a player, simply say who and underline your post like this example: “I nominate Arty.” (And please ping me so I don't miss it) When a player is nominated, everyone votes on whether or not to execute them. We use the forum's poll function to vote and I will set a deadline when voting closes. Each day, you may vote for as few or as many players as you wish, and whoever has the most votes is executed. This player needs a vote tally of at least 50% of the living players or no execution occurs. On a tie, neither player is executed.

Night Phase

During the night, every player "goes to sleep". Some characters wake during the night and I will DM them asking for their pick or giving them information depending on what character they are. Some characters do not wake during the night and some characters only wake the first night. You can check the night sheet posted in a seperate post to see if/when your character wakes.

Death

Most of you will die. This is a good thing! In Magicallty City, death is not the end. Some players may even want to die, as they gain information when they do. If you die, you are still a major part of the game. You are still allowed to talk and most importantly, you still win or lose with your team. In fact, the game is usually decided by the votes and opinions of the dead players. When you die, you lose your character ability, you may no longer nominate, and you have only one vote for the rest of the game, so use it wisely.

Is all information I receive true?

There is a lot of information in this game. However, some of it might be wrong. If you are drunk or poisoned, you have no ability, but I will pretend that you do. I am allowed to lie to you—any information that you get may be incorrect, but you will not know if you are drunk or poisoned. For example, if you are the Drunk, you drew a different character token out of the bag and only I know that you are actually the Drunk. Or, if the Poisoner poisons you, you may still wake at night to use your ability, but it won’t work.

4 general rules

This can be a lot of information to take in at once, so to keep things simple, there are only four things you need to remember:

1) You may say whatever you want at any time. This is a talking game. You can chat publicly with the group here or have private conversations via discord, it is up to you.

2) Screenshotting your discord DMs with me is prohibited. Please keep your character token, that I sent you, a secret. If you share an image of it with others you cheat and ruin the fun.

3) Ask me any questions you need to. If you get confused, or don’t understand how your character works, or don’t understand how the character that you are pretending to be works, or if something happens at night that you don’t understand, or you just need some strategy advice... whatever it is, please ask. I’m neutral, and my job is to help you understand the rules and have fun playing. Let me know when you have a question, and we can talk in private so that nobody knows what question you asked.

4) Play nice. This is a game about deception and trickery, so please treat others with respect and consideration. Kill with grace, and die with dignity.

Down Below is the Character Sheet. You will receive an explanation upon receiving your role, but you can use this if you want to bluff.

Down below is the Night Order. I will be going in order in each night with even waiting for an option (if there is one) to move on to the next

We have a total of 12 players which means there will be 7 Townsfolk, 2 Outsiders, 2 Minions, and 1 Demon. If a minion is the Baron, there will be 5 Townsfolk, 4 Outsiders, 2 Minions and 1 Demon.

I will currently DM everyone their roles. Please DO NOT discuss until Day 1 starts.

Good Morning TNP!

You wake up to find that I am dead! It is the work of some evil people though. Figure it out!

You are all allowed to talk now. This day will last up until May 19th 7:30PM EST (I can't get the timestamp to work)

Ruben’s absence is suspiciously convenient…

For now, I’d be curious who actually has information we might use. I’m afraid I’m no use while the sun is still up.

This is also my first time playing BotC (in general). It is sad to see that we don't have much evidence at this moment.

Nice , so does anyone has any information?
I am an Undertaker so i dont have any info :(
If there is a monk, please save Bharat. We need to keep our Undertaker around. Can't believe they publicly announced and put a giant target on their back. Save them!

On the other hand, if anyone is Virgin, it would be really helpful to say so, so that one of the town who only gets info on the first night can nominate you, so we have two confirmed good people.
