This thread is intended for use by the Minister of Foreign Affairs for brief announcements and updates to be given to the general population and ministry staff. Members of the public may also use this space to pose any policy-related questions to the minister.

The current Minister of Foreign Affairs is @Pallaith.

Deputy Minister Appointment​

I am delighted to announce @Kaschovia as the latest Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. Kasch has an abundance of FA experience as a former Minister of Foreign Affairs and recently completed two terms as Delegate. He has also been an enthusiastic staffer and has shown plenty of energy in the executive over the past month. I believe he would be a helpful addition to the leadership team. Welcome!

Deputy Minister Appointment​

Another appointment! @Picairn has offered me his services and will join the team as a Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. Picairn is our current Minister of Defense, a rising star in the region, and a member of the Committee on Foreign Relations. His eagerness to learn and diligence working in other areas of the executive will be a vital asset to the team. Welcome!

On Bloomin’ Damnation​

Briefly, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would like to confirm our acknowledgment of the introduction of the two new sinkers. The Ministry was consulted throughout the process on the North Pacific Army’s involvement with respect to the Outback and looks forward to a prosperous relationship with it and many blooming onions consumed inside it. A full embassy has had its construction begun and we look forward to seeing what this franchise of such a beloved American fast casual dining experience brings to the table. I am still considering who ought to represent the North Pacific in that region.

The North Pacifican Ministry of Foreign Affairs is also pleased to extend its hand in friendship to the Plains of Perdition and its Delegate @Quebecshire. A full embassy will be opened with it and @Matzerati has been appointed to represent the North Pacific on the Plains.

I would also like to take this opportunity to address a question brought up in this thread.

Yes. Same with TGW. It’s meant to be used for regions we have no formal relationship with but for whom it is nonetheless in our interest to have representation in.

We thank the North for its prompt recognition of our government. Should we successfully retain control we look forward to a prosperous friendship.
 
This is to note that I have removed individuals from the ministry who are no longer citizens. These individuals are Black Waters, Caius, Dalimbar, KingHoward, Noscar, and Nutmeg The Squirrel.
 
Is Comfed still the Minister of Foreign Affairs? Asking due to the recent resignation and delegate transition, just to be sure.

If so, I have some minor things to discuss with the government, representing Starlight. I'd like to know if I may approach the Minister directly (and privately, if possible), or if there is some other form of approach that is preferred by the Ministry. Usually I'd default to approaching the envoy, but I'm not sure that one is appointed to us at present; I'm not sure how TNP approaches sending envoys.

@Pallaith is the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Feel free to either send him or me a DM on Discord. We don't do ambassadors atm, no, nor do we consider them to be the proper avenue for diplomatic requests or discussion.
